I'll be honest, I don't want to play Texas if we can beat Florida. Although they have struggled this year too, they looked to be the most complete team other than Florida and ourselves.

Anyone else agree?

I wasn't saying we would be scared, or that I am scared, I am saying that my practical reasoning makes me want to root for Texas.

I'd like BAMA to play Texas and to get that win over them.

But I agree with NYBamaFan. TCU is a very good team this year. If they don't make it to the NC game (which would only happen if Texas lost), then whoever plays them in the Fiesta or Sugar is probably going to get beat. It will be hard for the opposing team to match their intensity and they are a much better team than Utah was last year.

I want to play Texas, but to be honest, I think that TCU would take them apart...

TCU can give anybody a game I think. They are a good solid team. Personally I don't care who we play against should we make it to Pasadena, I just want Alabama to make it there. I do think they hype for BAMA/Texas would be through the roof though. Much more so than BAMA/TCU. But TCU looks good enough to give anyone a game.

I want Texas, if we were to win it against a non-traditional, big-time program, the media would have a field day questioning the validity of it.

Besides, it's about time to get that Texas bugaboo off our backs. We got screwed out of two against them and they take great pride in letting us know that we've never beaten them. Never mind that had we played them on a regular basis, we'd probably have a healthy lead all-time against them.

I'd rather beat FL, play TX, and have BCS-Chaos ensue resulting in a lawsuit against the BCS cartel (and Jim Delaney) for violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

I don't care who we play as long as we aren't playing in Sugar Bowl. I would be interesting to watch the BCS squirm if Texas were to lose. That would be a tough decision on who to send........

One other point about the matchups. I know that Bama will be cranked up to play a team like Texas. I have no idea if a Cincy or TCU would garner enough respect from the team to have them completely focused in every practice preparing for the game. We have seen this Bama team ease up in intensity a few times - even against Auburn. That just wouldn't happen if we play Texas...

We have to win one more game before we can worry about who's the next victim of the Crimson Tide. Doesn't matter to me who it is, just so we are playing the next victim in Pasadena. That is all that really matters.

I want to see Bama v Texas in Pasadena for the BCS championship.

Two powerhouse traditions, and we owe them one!
