Ineptitude vs. dissension: Arky and AU

It seems that dissension of some sort is spilling out all over at the Barn. Players may be on verge of quitting based on some of their post-game comments. Granted, Arky is inept, but can't even ineptitude trump a team in such disarray? Would not be surprised at an Arky upset or at least, a very close game.

I believe we've seen the outcome when players quit on the coach........but, I'm not sure the chop-blockers are there yet.

The HOGS are due one. I say Arky in an upset at Auburn. Watch a total meltdown on the Plains. Bet there won't be 35,000 fans at the game Saturday...no students. Ain't life grand.

If Arkansas beats Auburn, the weeping and gnashing of teeth on the plains will rival that of the Egypt of Moses.

Couple that with Bama's record/ranking and the above could be rendered an understatement.

I'll be pulling for Arky. After the past 10 years, I'd like nothing better than to see the barn implode. Oh, and Tennessee too.

I believe that it is still a little early to think AU has quit. This weekend could be a pivotal point in their season although Arkansas looks to be the worst team in the SEC. A loss at home could signal the beginning of the end for their season.

No matter how the Barn plays the rest of the year, I have no doubt that they'll be up for the Iron Bowl come Thanksgiving Weekend.

It has been fun though watching and listening to the repeated meltdowns this year by the Barners. Such a quick change in attitudes also, very interesting.

I think Arky is pitiful, but moo u is pretty bad. Arky normally plays them hard. I'm dreaming of an Arky win!

Arkansas is truly pathetic this year. Arkansas (Big Rock????) probably couldn't beat Arkansas-Little Rock. As much as I'd like to see them beat Auburn it 'aint gonna happen. Tubbs and Co. might be under duress but the fact is Auburn lost to two quality teams and by the narrowest of margins. They are still waaay better than the hogs.

I don't see any chance for Arky to beat the barn. BUT if it did happen..if Petrino came in there and BEAT tubbs with how bad arkansas is...what a story that would be!

Arkansas looked a bit better against Florida for the first 3 quarters, still if these schools were Lakes .. Lake Barn would hitting a drought level low but Lake Hog would be nothing but dried cracking mud.

I just dont' see them dropping this one. May even be a confidence builder for their offense.

This game is a toss up. The barn will be favored, but they are only averaging around 14 pts per game or so. If Petrino can game plan and have Arky score 17, I think they would win it. I'm just not sure they can do it either. I would give them an edge on offense...Casey Dick is a proven qb and they have a good go-to WR all of which seemed improved in the UF game. Also Petrino is superior to Otis Franklin in play-calling.

Good points Cat, but you forgot the most important point, Arkansas has no defense. Not even enough to stop AU.

The early line has Moo U an 18 to 19 point favorite. Yes, you read that right. Moo U is favored by 18 to 19 points! Even some Moo U fans are saying "take Arky and the points, we (Moo U) can't score that many points." :biggrin:

If Aubie plays Arky like they played Miss St and Vandy, then Arky could win this game. Did I just say that? :eek2:

I don't think Arky is as bad as they look. If Aubie had played Bama, Texas and Florida they would be 0-3. 'Course, Aubie can't be as bad as they look either.
They only lost by 5 and 1 to two undefeated teams.

I think I'll go with ineptitudidity over dissensioness.

Arkie is getting better they played Florida good for 3 quarters till the bottom fell out. If they stack the line force au to pass they will pull off the upset.20-13 Arkie

A couple of big questions for me in this game.
1)Can Ark. stop shooting thierselves in the foot and giving up easy scores that take them out of ballgames. Ark. did move the balll some on Fla. early.
2)How will the barn respond to the loss to Vandy. Will they circle the wagons and come togather or will they split apart?
I think Ark. may have a chaance altho it is very, very small. But I sure don't see the 18 point spread.

I realize that football is a 4 quarter game, but Florida led Arky 17-7 after 3 quarters. They could give Moo U problems if they come to play.
