Welcome aboard. I graduated from Hartselle. Live very close to the stadium and the Dairy Queen both:) To say this was my greatest year for football ever is an understatement!
I watched all the playoff games this year and those other teams had better athletes but Hartselle had the better coaches. That was the difference.
Welcome to the forum. I haven't been on here long myself.

Welcome to the board. Hartselle High School formerly Morgan County High School has a great tradition of high school football with never winning the a state championship until past year. I took my 11 y/o daughter to her first Hartselle game and we beat Briarwood Christan Academy in the semi's.

I graduated when it was MCHS. Coach Bryant paid a visit to the high school in 74 after they signed Les Fowler to a grant in aid to play DB. Les is one of the Alabama team physicans and up untill a couple of years ago was the sideline physician at all the games ( Fowler was a QB in high school under Bucky Pitts and Don Woods. Don Woods brother is Sparky Woods who coached RB at Bama 2003 to 2005.)

Coach Bryant's book"Bear" has just been published in 1974 and he was a recruiting tour of the state and signing his book. I waited in line 2 hours to get his autograph. It was the only time I ever got to meet him in person and shake his hand . I was a high school kid and like so many others was truly in awe of the great man.

Hartselle has some great ties to UA , it has also sent a couple of players to the University of aubarn, you will find it a great place to live and raise you family. Although I left when I went to college and never moved back , my parents and family still live there and it will always be home to me.

Roll Tide.
