...if Auburn loses tomorrow and Bama wins. Both will have lost to the same 2 opponents, with both of Auburn's loses coming after Bama's. What do ya bet Auburn would be ranked ahead of Bama?

Why not, they started ranked ahead of Bama plus they have Wingnut. ;)

And they should still be ranked ahead of us, considering the fact that our wins would be against Hawaii, Vandy, La Monroe, Duke, and Ole Miss. Their wins would be Wash. St., MSU, LSU, Buffalo, and South Carolina. They would have two quality wins and we would have none.

If we beat quality teams (UT, LSU, AU), we can expect to ascend in the rankings. If we don't, we'll continue to be a non-issue in college football this year.

Don't forget that if they lose to Florida as bad or worse than we did...our losses to those teams were on the road...their losses would have been at home...in their own stadium. Being the home team in the SEC is huge (unless you are in Mississippi) and I think that's gotta figure into this little equation too. No doubt in my mind we would have handled Arkanasas if we had played them in Tuscaloosa. We did everything but outscore them that day anyway.

You may be right, but we have got to win on the road sometime, if you just win at home you can count on being 8-4 ever year.

If you go by the pre-season procrastinators, then Bama would have to look better than Auburn right now, if that should happen.

Many publications had Bama mid-tier SEC and even mid-tier SECW.

The barn was pretty much annointed pre-season SEC champs.

Bama may have lost two, but they were both on the road, and for all practical purposes, Bama beat themselves in one game, and helped beat themselves in the other.

I still can't figure out what Auburn's excuse is for getting man-handled at home.

This weekend will be interesting....

They were concentrating too much for their upcoming Sociology mid-term!
