In 1999 (I think) Shawn King was the starting QB for the Buccaneers. He was so limited that they essentially made every passing play only to one side of the field and if there wasn't an open read, he ran for whatever he could get. The Bucs made it all the way to the NFC title game, where they lost to the Rams. They did this by scoring a little, hardly turning over the ball, and riding a great defense.

I think we did sort of the same thing with Jalen Hurts early on.

Can this work with Milroe in today's game?

I'm not sure (actually doubtful), but it may make more sense than asking him to run an offense he clearly can't run.

I'm even more confused today than I was yesterday.

or it could be some of the team realizing that they got high sniffing their own farts after the summer and beating mtsu, got their asses handed to them in an embarrassing way against texas and didn't handle it well in the week going into usf

Milroe also holds the ball too long, and also isn’t accurate with his throws, but that’s none of my business…

Color me confused. A QB with 3 starts under hi belt with very mixed results gives way to the second string QB via coaches decision. He then displays an attitude which gets him suspended (?) for the game. The team as a whole looks even more lackluster during the game which is narrowly won via a good defensive effort and some at least decent play by the third string QB. After the game there is a players only meeting followed by the head coach announcing that the original starting QB apparently no longer with an attitude/no longer suspended is now starting the next game. Should be a fun week on TFs.

Designed runs. Roll him out and allow him to improvise.

No long developing plays with 5 routes to read.

Well timed deep throws with max protect.

Basically, the opposite of what we've run so far this year. I heard someone this morning, Travis Reier or maybe it was Ryan Fowler, say he was still waiting to see the offense Notre Dame was running at the end of the year last year. What we've been running looks an awful lot like the past 2 years under BoB.

Yep could be that. It isnt that. But could very well be.

Everyone is welcomed to their own opinion.

hear the team talk about togetherness. Former players talking about backing saban. There isnt this sort of divided over who starts at RG. its clear there is an issue. Its clear the team didnt like how Saban was handling the issue.

So Saban announcing a start QB on Monday. Something he hasnt done all year. Is clearly a change of behavior for him so far this season. Clearly he's trying to handle the QB situation differnet.....

nah no way the team coulda had meeting about that

Gonna be a good one this week.....almost feels like we are about to have a case of Leroy Jenkins. We're gonna run in with our hair on fire and get wiped out.
