What happened to Jerry Duncan on the sidelines? The best that I remember, he left the network due to the health of his father. I do remember Eli making the comment that he would probably be back, but... Just wondering... I always enjoyed him on the sidelines, especially when it came to the week of UT.

I have also asked the question and would love to hear Duncan on the sideline again.
But here is the problem, What to you do with Tom Roberts?
Tom has been a faithful Bama announcer for nearly thirty years.
Do you toss him over to host a pre-game show with Doug Layton?

Tom Roberts does not have the flare that Duncan has but he is a loyal and loves Bama. And if you have ever met Tom, he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

I see Jerry fairly regularly, and he is doing quite well. He has a VERY successful business. I don't know how interested he would be in getting back into broadcasting...he stays pretty busy now as it is...

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who likes Chris Stewart...he has made listening to Bama basketball games fun again. I'm squarely an Eli Gold fan, but when he decieds to hang it up, I think Chris Stewart should be the man they turn to.

Exactly. And I wish Jerry was back on the sidelines too.

I also enjoy listening to Chris Stewart. He does a great job dealing with all of the callers on the football postgame call-in show. I hope he gets a larger role in the football broadcasts as well. My wife and I met Chris at an alumni event a couple of years ago (Shelby County). He was very nice and talked with us for quite a while. He had some funny stories about some of the post-game callers.
