He’s been saying the entire off-season that our OL is going to be incredible (based on what he’s hearing). We have been hearing the same thing, so I think Josh’s sources are correct. If we dominate the LOS and maintain possession of the football, we’ll be fine.

Since the completion of spring and until the beginning of fall camp, I felt like much of the media were really questioning us and it seemed like LSU was the favorite in the West, and of course Georgia the overwhelming favorite for the SEC and national title.

Over the last week or so, it seems like we have become the flavor of the month. It was a clean sweep on Gameday for us winning the SEC, McElroy picked us and so did Cubelic, though McElroy picked Michigan to beat us in the CFP championship game. I don't know that it's a good or bad thing, but I think there is something that is making many in the media believe in Alabama this year. Given the uncertainty with the QBs, it's a little surprising.

What might be the funniest aspect to all of this, is how the UGA fans' heads are exploding over the audacity of anyone picking a team other than UGA, much less Alabama.

Pate is a good straight shooter. He doesn't get carried away, embellish, use click bait, show bias, etc. He's right a lot more than wrong. I hope he's right with this one.

Now, it seems everyone and their mama is suddenly picking us. Of course, that is making me nervous, but I still think we are going to see a more physical product that I will enjoy watching. I just thought it would be nice to have one season where the target wasn't quite as big on our backs. Oh well, that is the price of success. Roll Tide!

He's not wrong if they do indeed drop a regular season game (Ole Miss? Abruun? UT?) then lose the SECCG to Bama. Zero chance they're given the benefit of the doubt with that schedule...

I was really liking it when everyone was barely giving us any attention. I was starting to get that feeling that we are going to be very good. Said it before, The offseason work has already been put in. Yeah we still have practice every week and keep getting better. There is 4 days before the season starts. This last minute 180 by media isn't going to make our guys forget an entire offseason of "y'all are going 9-3 and Georgia has taken y'alls place."
