Katy, TX RB - Aundre Dean

Katy has at least four players going to D1 schools:

Bo Levi Mitchell - QB - Hawaii
Aundre Dean - RB - Hopefully Bama
Trent Hunter - CB - A&M
Ryan Doerr - K - South Carolina

I'm sure there will be a few more that get looks from D1 schools and get offers from 1-AA or D2/D3 schools.
Does Dean still have UCLA #1 as schools to attend? This might be outdated, but I thought you would know. Also, any info on his thoughts about coming to BAMA?

He rushed for something like 220 yds in the 28-7 win over Pflugerville. He was a man among boys the way he ran over and threw tacklers. It was impressive.

I was thinking about this while watching the game. He has Arizona St, TCU and UCLA as well as Bama on his short list. If I were recruiting him, I'd have to slightly resort to negative recruiting tactics...but draw a parallel between Katy and Alabama.

ASU, TCU and UCLA, just hope to beat their in state rivals...If they are even considered in the top 10, its been a helluva season. Alabama expects to win national championships. Anything less is considered a let down. Katy is the same way. They expect to win state championships. If he looks at it from that perspective, then his choice is a no brainer. Alabama has the tradition and the expectation, much like Katy, to win championships. He belongs at Alabama.

I'd personally love to Bama recruit Katy a little bit harder...like I said, they are perennial state contenders and have some talented athletes. But, hey, I'm only a lone voice in Katy and I'm biased.

DBF don't you think having Major Applewhite will be a boost for recruiting in that area, Plus the time he spent there while at Rice?

Merry Christmas to you and yours, from someone still under the pecten. :cheers2:

You would think. Plus, when CNS was at LSU he recruited Houston fairly heavily...Joseph Addai comes to mind. He was the QB at Sharpstown I believe.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. I want the Pecten to keep pumping out high results...my 401k depends on it! :-)

I really hope we get this recruit, but am I the only one who thinks were going to have a but load of RB with Grant, Lowe, Coffee, Upchurch, Goode, Griffin, with Ivan, and Preyear thats a lot of RBs; And i think im leaving somebody out

Sounds like a natural "fit". Runs with a very high energy level. You could say he runs with an attitude. Would love to see him at Bama.

You can never have enough good RBs in the SEC. Just look at the last 4 years! We will take at least 1 more.

Dean on the Break Away

Apparently, the coaching staff has enlisted our commitment, Damien Square, in the recruiting of Dean. I like that! RTR!

"Apparently" is a word that leaves my imagination running wild. I see you are in Katy Tx. and that would be considered ground zero when it comes to Deans recruitment. But could you please elaborate on what "Apparently" means in this context.

Thanks

RTR!!!

Damien Square said that he is in contact with Dean several times a week and Coach Bo Davis is asking him if he's talked to Dean.

Great news. I am sure he will really enjoy his visit. Welcome to Alabama and T-Town Mr. Dean. Just make sure its not your last trip.
