John Kerry pushed for funding of a defense contractor who pleaded guilty of illegally funding Kerry' campaign. Parthasarathi Majumder solicited funds from his employees to donate to Kerry's campaign saying that "We need to influence Congress to keep your jobs." his employees donated $25,000 to Kerry. Kerry denies that he had any knowkedge Majumder's donations although he wrote 28 letters to other politicians asking them to vote for the funding to. Two days before Majumder pleaded guilty, Kerry donated the illegal funds to charity.
