Kevin Steele at DC?

A source at SECTalk.com says he's pretty much taken the job. Joe Kines will most likely remain in Tuscaloosa as the Director of Football Operations or in a different coaching position of defense. I say he should take a "higher ups" job like the DFO. He's 62 and he had a great run. I'm gonna miss him.

i agree with you totally. it is hard to come by people like kines. not only is he very knowledgeable and have a huge love for the game....... he also loves alabama football. not to mention his loyalty to the kids. i like your idea of dfo. good one.

Now they are saying Trickett (sp) OL coach at WVA is going to FSU and Radio station 620 in Tampa is saying that Fisher has accepted FSU OC job. As a side note they are saying Chuck Amato is going to be FSU's LB coach. He used to coach there before.

I was hoping that Trickett and Fisher were coming to Bama. :frown:

I had neither the time nor the inclination to read all of the posts in this thread, but here is my two cents worth.

Kevin Steele is a class guy and a super football coach. I met him at a FSU coaching clinic and again at a player's camp and all I can think about his hire is WOW!!!!!!

He is motivated and can motivate a kid to run through a brick wall. If the rest of CNS's hires are this good we are on to something good.

that is correct and the reason behind that is that they knew we had a considerable chance to land saban and with both fisher and saban that would make a dang good combo so they didnt want uab to get a potential OC at bama. but if he goes to fsu then that reasoning behind that plan failed, but if he doesnt come (not saying he doesnt) i am sure saban has some good to great OC's on his list.
