Nice article.

I don't see anywhere in it that Kiffin "wants" USC. I know that is what the article was titled. It is misleading, IMO. Kiffin is quoted in the article saying " I have really not thought about it at all."

I sometimes wonder where some sports editors find these people that do the naming of articles.

John McKay said that he could find a place kicker in a bar, and proceeded to do just that when he went from USC to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, it is in the works. It is 11 or 12 years away. The odds of both staffs being what they are at that time are 0%. Also, by then it could be looked at by the fan bases as...Can't believe UT is playing a powder puff like USC and vice versa. Many match up look good when they are made and then by the time they get played are not nearly as intriguing....ie, Tennessee/UCLA right now. It is still a big non-conference game for us, but not much nationally like it would have been a few years ago.

I agree. The title makes it sound like Kiffin is calling out USC which is not the case at all. I don't know what goes on in some of these writers mind.

This really shouldn't be big news...they guy has ties to USC and he is trying to establish a "We want to play the best" culture at UTenn...Putting the Vols into any conversation that involves the likes of USC and other top tier programs might be the best thing Kiffin has done so far.

I hate the guy as much as the next, but who really cares if Kiffin wants to play his old team?
