Nate Oats continues to embrace the roster fluidity of modern college basketball. Alabama’s roster shakeup continued Sunday, and as a result another exciting talent is headed to Tuscaloosa.

Five days after requesting Kansas to release from his letter of intent, Labaron Philon committed to Alabama. The 6-foot-4 guard is the 33rd-rated player nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Philon told AL.com Sunday afternoon that Alabama had the “best system in the country.”

This weekend, I think. Supposedly a visit to Kansas St on Wednesday of this week, but I have not seen any reports of that visit. Maybe that's good news for us. :) Today, he scheduled a visit to UNC for next week, so I'm guessing he wasn't blown away. Hopefully we can get him to cancel that...

35 a game in HS??? Wow, I don't much about him but with his size and diverse scoring ability he's an instant impact guy.

Great video. He has incredible body control to absorb contact and finish. I know it was HS competition, but you can see how he'll be great getting downhill in CNO's system at the rim.

Only problem I see is he'll have to get those midrange shots inside the line out of his system!
