Le Tour 2023, 2024, and 2025

I just watched the time trial. It was a great race. Now I wonder if Vingegaard will attack more to try to catch Pogacar off guard. Evenepoel looked strong today.

Lots of racing left......lots......anything can happen!

Right now MVDP has a 1 second lead over TP in the GC....wow - that's INSANE!!!

Really enjoyed today's Stage win by the Irishman....attacked with 42 KM to go!!!

@Bazza, Ben Healy was a monster today. He kept putting time in the chase groups behind him. I am surprised the big guns didn’t feel him back in but he just felt good today. I was glad for him.

Pogacar just looks so strong. Hard for me to pick anyone other than him.
I know. These short attacks at the end of the stages are just picking up seconds here and there. We will see how much the competition has in the mountains coming up. Vingegaard hasn’t really attacked yet.

I like Ben Healy. He gets after it and is having a pretty good tour. I don’t know if he can hang with the big boys yet but he is making some noise.

Check out the individual time trial for stage 13. This is going to be tough. It isn’t very long, but it looks hard and it is the day after some other tough mountains. IMG_4872.png

Pogacar dominated today. I can’t wait to watch the replay.

I missed the race today due to work and will watch tonight. But I did peek at the results.......and this......

Tadej Pogacar dedicated his memorable victory on stage 12 of the Tour de France to Samuele Privitera, the young cyclist who died during a race in Italy this week.

Privitera, 19, crashed during the opening stage of the Giro della Valle d’Aosta in the Italian Alps. The Hagens Berman Jayco rider reportedly came off his bike during a descent, losing his helmet and colliding with a gate. He was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

After pulling away from the rest of his rivals to win atop the towering Hautacam climb in the Pyrenees on Thursday, reclaiming the yellow jersey in the process, Pogacar paid tribute to Privitera.

“This stage can go for Samuele, to all his family,” he said. “It was really sad, it was the first thing I read in the morning, and I was thinking in the last kilometre about him and how tough this sport can be, and how much pain it can cause.”

I just finished watching today’s stage. Nothing but respect for Pogacar because he started attacking at the bottom of the final HC climb. He hammered that climb. Vingegaard tried to hang in there but he just couldn’t. Watching these guys climb the mountain is impressive because it looks straight up and they just keep coming back day after day even when they know they can’t beat the main contenders.
