In part absolutely. That won't be even close to "the" test. Why we getting a cold snap or something that morning :biggrin2:
What do you think "the test" will be for him this year? Haven't memorized the Bama schedule, but I think you beat UGA and F$U. Auburn is a tough game, but not as tough as they have been. LSU is the toughest game I can think of that you have next season, and I think I'm being realistic. Do you play UF this season? If so, that would be "the test". But if not, Nov. 3rd will indeed be "the test", IMHO.

Auburn is the test.

Bama has lost 5 in a row and we are p'd off. That's the test. Beat Auburn. Period.

I can see that, but when I hear "the test", I'm thinking "the hardest game to win". That will not be the "the hardest game to win" for ya'll next season, and I'm sure that most of you see this logically. They lost too much, and were thinner to start with.(than LSU) They never had much 'O' outside of Kenny Irons, and their 'D' has been weakened by graduation. Assuming LSU finds a halfway respectable replacement for JR, which we should, we will still have offensive punch, and the defense should still bring it. I will miss Laron Landry when we face ya'll though, but I bet JPW won't. I don't know what it was about Bama QB's that made LL so bloodthirsty.

If that is indeed how it started, I cannot believe you guys picked it up from Allbarn. Truthfully, I had never heard it until I got to this forum, but I don't spend any time at AU forums, so...
Neither do I...

Honestly, I don't truthfully know if that's where it started. There were several blogs and forums that picked up on it (wherever it came from). It was one of the first things that popped up on google. It is stupid but it does make for a decent laugh every now and then.

I just don't see LSU as big a Test as I do Auburn ( Rivalry Games) but yes it's definitely Auburn. First and foremost that streak ends.

We have Arkansas, Georgie, FSU, and UcheaT before we even look at you guys. Those are all tests for sure as equally a test as LSU.

Fish,

I don't disagree with you one bit. I have no doubt that the Bayou Tigers will be the most talented team Bama will face since UF is off the schedule. And that will most likely be his toughest game. For the fans, however, it's beat Auburn.

We both agree. We are just approaching this from different angles.

Fishhead, I can tell you what made LL so bloodthirsty when y'all played Bama. It was the right tackle for Bama that LL knew couldn't touch him. That having been said, I don't think CNS will allow any of that from his players like MS did.

Oh, I'm not offended by it. I just like to know exactly what I'm being called. I know it's all in fun, and if we allow the "gumps" to refer to Bama fans, I don't know why any LSU fan wouldn't expect you to have a name for us.

Of the four teams you listed, I think UGA will be the best of the bunch this year. F$U will still struggle on 'O', and Arkansas, Pleeeeaasssse! UcheaT may surprise me, but they have faded at the end lately, so I guess it depends on when you catch them, and where. LSU hasn't lost a game in November in a looong time, and under CLM, has hit it's stride and closed strong the last two years. I see no reason for this to change. I just hope he avoids the early season hiccups we've had the last two years. I think not getting a running back in this years class will actually do us good, and he will be forced to settle on a go-to guy. He has recieved a lot of heat for not playing KW early in the season last year, when clearly, he was the best thing we had running the ball. He will be the man this year from day one, and Alley Broussard will be healthy, and not have JV to split time with. Like I said, a lot depends on Flynn/Perriloux, but I think they'll do fine, and may even split time like Leak and Tebow last season.

I won't post the videos here again, because I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. But if you've seen the you tube vids of those two plays, you would know that LL came from 25 yards out straight up the middle. IMHO, the QB should've long since been rid of the ball. I don't claim to know anything about Bama's right tackle issues, but no reason to hold the ball that long and take a hit like that straight up the middle in plain sight. I honestly thought he had killed JPW. The hit on BC didn't look nearly as wicked, but seemed to hurt him worse.

The QB situation is what plays such an unknown. It'll be intersting to see how the first half of ya'lls season goes as well. Ok ok Arkansas is like the little mentally limited kid from the down the street with the freakshly strong grip.

And I would feel better about playing LSU at LSU, but there's just still that unknown JR leaving was a blow the others are highly touted but untested.

LSU should be our toughest opponent this year, but thers this brick wall with reinforced concrete that doesn't see past 5 at the moment ( I can admit that).

That's a joke right?:conf2: What they need is an AD, but they are so not big man on campus.
They need alot from top to down. Their Heisman runner up is still as much a factor as ever. They won the west, so they do get to walk tall until the year starts. DO I think there will be a repeat nah don't think so, they've got more baggage than any team in the country atm I'd say.

You just made me spew coke through my nose with that one!:eek2: And as far as the AU/Bama rivalry, I have NO DOUBT that is the biggest game of the year for Bama. I just don't think it will be the biggest TEST of the year. I think we agree on that. Now I've got to go clean my monitor, I'll be back later.

I can't believe you never heard the term "Corndog". I saw it at least a year ago on tigerforums maybe longer. The squatting Aubernites on that forum brought it to the table. I think the term is "Corny". ;)

As for LSU being a rival, don't puff yourself up too large. Saban may run off half the team and have Bama bomb next season handing LSU another hollow victory or perhaps Les will pull another Tennessee game out of his tight little hat and bomb against Bama. But LSU needs to get in line as far as rivals go. Auburn and Tennessee have always been and will probably always will be our top rivals. Many here would even put Penn State ahead of LSU as a rival.

Matt Flynn has been tested and should be ok.
