Let's Go to the Tape
The strained voice of Tom Culpepper betrayed any sense of calm or self-control, offering a window into the mindset of the recruiting analyst who thought Ronnie Cottrell and Logan Young caused him to be fired.
Tape reveals ill will toward Cottrell (June 25th article)
In a taped conversation that finally became public record Thursday evening, recruiting analyst Tom Culpepper made numerous threats against former University of Alabama assistant football coach Ronnie Cottrell and others.

Lawyers press on for Fulmer testimony

Lawyers press on for Fulmer testimony
University of Tennessee head football coach Phillip Fulmer is not off the hot seat as far as attorneys for Ronnie Cottrell and Ivy Williams are concerned.

At a press conference Tuesday in Birmingham, attorney J. Michael Rediker said Cottrell's legal team would ask Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge Steve Wilson for an order telling Fulmer to sit for a deposition in the $60 million lawsuit against the NCAA and others. A Tennessee court will either accept or reject the order from Alabama and tell Fulmer whether he must comply.

"We are basically going to have to go through two judges to do this," Rediker said. "We have to go to the Alabama judge first to get permission and get an order from the Alabama court, then we'll have to go to a Tennessee judge."

I'm embarrassed to say - I just listened to the whole tape. What a bunch of women. I've never seen so much backstabbing, jealousy, petty spats, justifications or lying and whinning outside of a soap opera. It's hard to believe that this was a factor in why we are where we are.

I did love the hysterical screaming. I'd never heard a guy do that before.

Fulmer Disposition...They aren't waiting until football season. Read Crimson Surfer post above.
As much as I'm sure we'd all like to "dispose" of Fulmer, they are not talking about his "disposition." Rather, we it would be a "deposition." However, at this point, it would be more likely to actually get testimony during the case than to get a deposition. As someone else pointed out, hopefully, the whole trial will be over with long before u-cheat and the great pumpkin make their visit to BDS.

Fulmer and Culpepper's roles in the conspiracy to harm Cottrell's and William's reputations are documented and out there for anyone to see.

If team Gallion can transfer some of the stink that emanates from those two to the NCAA, they have a chance of proving their case.

It might be possible... but it's a long shot. Conspiracy's are just a ***** to prove in court. And the NCAA is such a ghost when it comes to holding them to some standard of conduct. Doesn't help when the league office (and the rest of the league) hung you out there, too.

Anybody giving odds on any of this? The motions for dismissal? Settlement?
Going to trial? Outcome?
