SAD to say Lousyanna
I was kidding the other day but AJ back there in some situations to run the option seems pretty cool now. I have backed MG and CMS since the arky game and still do. I am not saying pull MG for the game just sometimes when the QB is struggling get AJ in there and change up the look!! LOL !! Would be something to see!!!!

My guess is that the option is not being practiced by the team, is not part of the offensive philosophy, and will not be incorporated this year.

The posts above...

are essentially correct. Plus, I think it's impossible to run the option with Connelly's blocking technique, and he'd be the first to tell you he doesn't know how to coach any other...

Good try. We can't get over our weakness in the passing game by installing the option in one week. However, what we can do is teach theses QB's to take adavantage of one-on-one coverages so as to decrease the likelihood of throwing an INT into heavy coverage. Seriously, if you gotta pass, and a good football team MUST be more balanced, throw into man coverage's and not so many zone situations. We have to get receivers isolated, and get more downfield receiver patterns.

And the run cannot be so deliberate. Yes, we run. And we do it well. But it cannot be SO obvious....

Easy for me to say.....

TideHSV

Please tell me you are not saying that Connelly is not able to coach fundamental football techinques of blocking or schemes of such. IMO if this true we are in serious trouble until some staff changes are made.

While it would be good, there is no time to implement a true option based offense. What we CAN do is play on our strengths... Put a scramber at QB and hand off all day long with a few short screens to break the monotony. Granted, it won't win every game, but it will put more than 3 points on the boards.
