Brown this week and Washington on the 28th.

Other 2-3 slots could be Manson, Walker, DJ Hall, Giles, Jones, or some recently interested DL.

I agree with commitments. As for the RBs, I hope the Gators get to keep Manson. I want kids who want to play here and obviously he won't pass that litmus test. Give Walker or Giles!

I'll still take Mr.Manson if he wants to be apart of this, i think he just wants to be in the spotlight and being one of the last big name recruits out there he'll get to shine, and hopefully choose to be wearing crimson next year, or it's gonna be 3 years atleast of riding the pine in gainsville! rtr!

I think manson is bama bound. I think he really wants to play for bama but is also maybe intimidated by the coaching staff of fl. I think when it is all said and done his heart will be here in the Tide land wait until he visits bama.

I think you can pretty much take it to the bank that Washington will commit now. Georgia had 17 scollys to offer and 17 scollys have been filled. This has to swing the favor in our way just a little bit. what you guys think about that???

D Walker will be just fine with me, seems like an excellent kid and a tremendous back. No coincedence that him and L Washington are friends and now he is visting. With C Dawson ready to go, it just keeps getting better and better.

Roll Tide!

uga is over commiting scholly's in case some dont qual. Trust me if B.Miller wants to go to uga they will have a scholly for him.

Dawson was expected to qualify.

You are correct, it is no coincidence that Walker is visiting, the same goes for Neil Brown.

Yes, I believe the staff is looking elsewhere....But, if we can get Walker I believe it would be a trade up.Giles is not too bad either...either way we do need to sign a rb this year so go CMS get us one.

Sure hope you are right Tide. I really like the sound of Brown playing WR for us. Man it just seems like this has taken all the disappointment of last season away. Shula's boys are doing a jam-up job in my opinion.

ROLL TIDE 4 LIFE! IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darius Walker has announced a press conference for tomorrow at his high school.

Now, recruiting is such a fluid process it's hard to say what he's thinking BUT he originally said he was going to take an official visit to Notre Dame and Arkansas. I can't help but think him announcing tomorrow is a good sign...especially before those two "scheduled" visits.

It does put the Manson situation in a completely different light.

FWIW, I've heard several times that Washington is a silent commitment from one of the more credible posters over on TI.

Terry beat me to it. So the question is "IF" Walker does commit to Alabama does Alabama still go after Manson? I say yes if he commits they will make it work. Johns is not qualified yet and that would bolster our running back group.

Walker is supposed to announce this week, which many believe it will be with Alabama.

DJ Hall will announce after his visit to LSU this weekend.

Washington will announce a week from today, whcih many believe he is already committed to Alabama.

Neil Brown and Brandon Miller are on the clock and better hurry or they will be out of time.

Quick note on Darius from someone close to his family.

The impression was given that because he was announcing before his final 2 visits that that was a good sign for Bama. However, Jimmy stressed that Darius had not even told him in private but the biggest competition came from Ohio State due to his close relationship with former OSU RB and Asst. Coach, Tim Spencer, who far and away is his favorite coach including over Coach Randolph.

I just don't want to take the hit if there is a surprise.

Very, very seldom does BamaK get his facts wrong...it's one of the few outlets Rodney Orr uses to share information "unofficially" on TI.

*IF* Walker commits with us, do you think Manson would entertain the possibility of coming to Bama along side him? I know Alabama would still pursue Manson (obviously) even if we get a commit from Walker, but would Manson even be interested anymore (provided he even is interested at this point)?

Yep, I did a 'Google' search on Darius Walker and the OSU Insiders site came up. They seem to think that Walker is a lock with Clarret's status in the air.

It would be a huge coupe for Bama to pick up Walker though.

That's a good point, but UT is a prime example... a few years ago they signed Davis, Houston, Tinsley, and another who later transferred. That was the best RB class I have ever seen. Why couldn't we get both. I know there are some top recruits that want to be "the man", but at most schools you have to earn that.
