What areas(s) do you feel the most comfortable with?

What area(s) are you most concerned with?

IMO, I feel very comfortable with our passing game and I am most concerned about us being able to stop the run.

They will run for 250+. They will have some wide open receivers from all the motions. We will have to generate a turnover or two to stop them enough.

We should pass on them easily. Ty should have really good numbers. Hopefully we run a little better.

Im not hopeful about the D and their run game. Im optimistic about our pass game and their D though.

I am concerned with our physicality especially from the Linebackers/corners in stopping the run. I would like to see more physical guys like Kirkpatrick, Lee, and even Mincey. Losing Russaw is gonna hurt this week especially against Pavia. I think Ty is gonna go off this week, the biggest concern for me is stopping Pavia's run game

At some point we have to see improvement in the run game. Against UGA we were stubborn to keep running the ball, which I like and hope we keep doing that. So just common logic says, if we keep trying and working on it, at some point there has to be some improvement. I'm waiting on that improvement and this game would be a great game to see both the run game and passing game going.

That‘s a pretty good summary IMHO. That says shootout to me.

I know we are scarred from last year, but are we giving Vandy too much credit this year?

Who have they played other than USCe?

If we show up and play quality football, we should win by multiple scores. We've got dudes they don't have!

This is not your daddy's Vandy, but they are still Vandy.

This isn’t anybody’s Vandy. This is a team of old, seasoned guys. A capable coaching staff and a lightning rod QB. Yes, we have dudes they don’t have but they can get the dudes out of place and make them irrelevant. We gotta play clean and don’t make dumb mistakes. One thing about this Vandy that is in common with all the others, they’re gonna talk major crap. And if we let it get under our skin because they make some plays it’ll lead to us being stupid and handing them chunks of the field or someone trying to punish a player and get hit with a targeting foul.

Comfortable- the offense…. More specifically the passing game. We need to continually work on the run game. With Jam back it holds promise that is yet to be fulfilled.

Uncomfortable-the defense…. More specifically the run defense. The Vandy run game and subsequent play action passing is elite. They utilize motion and misdirection to confuse the defense. We will see if Womack and company learned anything from the FSU game.

Not Sure- FG kicking has suddenly become a question mark.

overall- if we maintain our composure we will be ok. I would try to outscore them at every turn. If we can get a double digit lead going into 4th qtr, I think we can get get them off their running game

I like the matchup of our offense against their defense. I think Grubb will put together a great gameplan and Ty will execute it. As long as we don't have turnovers...so far we have NONE...we should score a lot of points.

I'm not crazy about the matchup of our defense against their offense. But we know what to expect and should be able to get a few stops. We don't need a lot. And we don't have to be perfect. We just need to "break serve" a couple of times.

I think it would help us greatly if we could jump out to an early lead and force them to pass more and run less. I like the matchup of our DBs against their WRs.

We won't be taking them lightly this year and I think we'll come out ready to play. I'm thinking we get the win by more than most predict...maybe 34-17.

They've got a lot of seniors, especially along the OL. They also run a lot.....a lot....and we tend to give up huge rushes because we have very poor gap integrity. That leads me to believe they will gash us similar to what UGA did.

If we continue to not give the ball away, I think we cover. If we turn it over its going to be tight.

What I'd like to see.....get up on them early, like we did UGA....but we've got to keep the pressure on, I don't think 24 is going to be enough.

I think that the Georgia game was a test for DeBoer, but the Vanderbilt game is a test for Wommack. Alabama gave up 40 points to them last year, and that was actually with the 9th ranked scoring defense.

The weakness is against the run and Vanderbilt will probe that. This year Alabama is 19th in scoring defense and 75th in rushing defense. The question is can Wommack show improvement from last year?

I'm most comfortable with:
1. Our offense, especially Ty, WR's, and Grubb's play calling
2. The fact we haven't turned the ball over yet this year
3. Crowd noise/home game atmosphere will help

I'm most concerned with:
1. Our defense and our DC, especially stopping their run game
2. Kicking a field goal longer than 30 or 35 yards
3. Time of possession-- this could determine how close the game is until end of 4th quarter. We need to keep Vandy off the field as much as possible like we did vs UGA in the first half.

I see a score of maybe Bama 41-35 or 41-38

I'd feel much better if we had a healthy Russaw, Keenan, and Smith along the line with a healthy Latham and a healthy Beaman backing up their slots.

5/8 compromised... Fortunately Simmons, Hill, and Fagia have been up to it. Not sure about Pierre either.

i am pretty sure last year's team spent the week after the georgia game patting themselves on the back instead of preparing properly
