BREAKING LSU Firing Brian Kelly

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

AD wanted him to fire OC. Brian didn’t want to, but had other changes that AD wouldn’t approve. Sounds like he took his toys and went home.

If Im the AD I put this in the insubordination category and refuse to pay the $54mm and tell him “see you in court”

LSU, Florida and Arkansas jobs now open. Texas job might be open soon if Sark is talking NFL.

Who in the world are these programs going to get?
That is the big question. It is often easy to fire someone, but what are you going to do to replace that person. A lot of these school ADs are going to be in a tough spot because highly qualified candidates are few and far between. Hiring that "right guy" is going to cost some big bucks.

Kelly is a complete lunatic. The way he treats players and staff members in game makes me believe even more that he should’ve been held personally liable that kid died filming practice from that lift that was blown over. I have no doubt he’s the reason that kid was up there that day. UNBELIEVABLE.

Officially official

The thing is this is incredibly bad news for Florida and its probably going to get worse for Florida if Sark is indeed flirting with the NFL. LSU and Texas are infinitely better jobs in terms of money and resources than Florida and it may have been that realization that made them leak the potential job offer details about Kiffin.

Kiffin is going to get paid, and is probably going to get to pick his contract details at this point. He may have just became the most powerful coach in the country in terms of his control over whatever program he is at in 2026. If Im a betting man I think he stays at Ole Miss but they give him a ridiculous amount of control and upgrades that they never would have imagined when they initially hired him.

I agree with this. I don't think Kiffin leaves Ole Miss. I think if he stays he will win a National Championship within the next 3 years. He can be a coaching legend there with a statue if everything works out.

I personally think he should try out the NFL again. He can take Kirby with him before he finally figures out a way to beat us.
