Major score in the vinyl album department

I just became the proud owner of a vinyl test pressing of The Blue Stingrays. Ok you are now wondering why am I so excited and who the hell are The Blue Stingrays. The album is a second master test pressing, plain white sleeve, white label with hand written stuff on it. Recorded in the early 1990s the members of the Blue Stingrays are The Heartbreakers, Tom Petty's backup band. All instrumental and a tribute to all the old surf albums by people like The Ventures or the Rip Chords but done Petty style. The album is out of print so finding the cover art work is probably near impossible. I'm going to run it through the record cleaner and see what happens, it was good out of the sleeve.

I almost fell out the chair seeing the name Blue Stingrays again. Where did you find that???!!!

I was perusing the pages of ebay when I ran across this with no bids and one hour left. ebay link

I also picked up a 7" little hole 45 RPM test pressing of Supertramp live "Dreamer" rated a strong 8. I cleaned it twice on the record doctor vac cleaner and it was better but this live version lacks all the sound and glory the Mobile Fidelity half speed master has but it is satisfying knowing there are only 5 of these out there and I have one. I love the rare, the obscure and things that tell a story or can start a conversation above all I love music.
