Missouri is 19-1 at home for a reason. They have 4 SEC losses. Lost to Auburn scored 64 Vs Auburn Gill and Mitchell were 2-14 combined. Lost Vs Texas scored 53 those 2 were 2-13. Loss vs Tennessee scored 81. Mitchell was 0-6 Gill was 4-5. Lost to A&M they scored 64 Mitchell was 6-9 Gill 1-6.. 15-53. Combined in 4 losses.

Individual defense is bad, team defense is worse

I don’t think anyone thinks we have a real good defense but it doesn’t have to be great because we can score 90 almost every game. Auburn tonight vs a bad Arkansas defense went 3-14 from 3.

Texas has the worst defense in the SEC; but they scored TWICE as many points against us?

This game in itself is something that happens during the season of basketball. It is a road game against a good team that suddenly can do no wrong and is a bad matchup for Bama. What makes it so bad mentally is that Bama just lost at home and has an extremely tough schedule ahead. I'd like to say, "Oh well, it happens", but I can't really think that because Bama's defense has not been what it should be and they continue to make ridiculous turnovers.

Bama didn't finish well at the end of last regular season due to poor defense and tough schedule. We've heard for the last few weeks that the defense has to improve and the team has to cut back on turnovers. I don't know what the magic formula is but hopefully Oats can get the defense going like it did during the NCAA tournament and get the turnovers down and soon (like this week).
