I don’t like driving from B’ham to Auburn and back for late tips I could only imagine the Shoals to Atlanta and back.
Years ago, mapping programs were not as good as today's, and I once input HSV to Atlanta into Mapquest. After a long pause, the software came back with "There is no good way to get from Huntsville, AL to Atlanta, GA." As if I didn't already know that...

I fell out of love with MapQuest very early in the days when it was the leader of the pack.

Well before satellite coverage was a thing, I entered my destination into MapQuest. It directed me off the exit, right turn for 1/2 mile, then right turn for another 1/2 mile. After two more identical right turns were instructed, I told my wife; "I don't have to know anything about that area to know that 4 right turns will bring us right back to where we started. Why would I make that two mile loop?" I crumpled the printed instructions and threw them away.

Sure enough, I pulled off the exit and right into the parking lot. 😃

Never used MapQuest again.

Something very similar happened to us around 8 years or so ago, but with Google Maps. On the way back from Va Beach, we stopped in Wytheville, VA. In the morning, I could see the onramp back onto the freeway. "She" however, had us turn in a different direction. I was torn. Maybe Google knew of a detour down the road, perhaps a wreck? It directed us all over that little town and finally proudly announced "You have arrived at your destination on the right" and gave the exact longitude and latitude. It was a residence in the middle of a subdivision. What had been entered as our destination was "home," (ours in HSV). That was a last time for blindly following. They make too many mistakes...

RTR!

We've been off for 10 days. Hope we come out like a cannon and drop 100 on them.

I'll take a win by 1 :D

We're 0-3 against Creighton all-time. Last game was 12/16/23 where we lost @ Creighton 82-85.

Time for Bama to ROLLLLLLLLL!
