Who all is making it down to Miami?

I'm flying down on Saturday. Tickets ended up being a good more than I expected, but I guess Ohio State fans have a bit of pent up demand.

If we make it next year in Indianapolis then I’m going. But I’ve been to Miami and I really wouldn’t want to go to limited capacity in that stadium.

But bring us a win home. RTR

Indy in January might be cold.
Hope we don’t play a Big 10 team, we won’t have a chance!

(I’m reminded we had ice storms the week the SB was in Dallas).

I actually like Northern championship sites. As long as they aren’t outdoors. Minneapolis and Indianapolis are pretty good sites. I kinda get tired of Florida and California all of the time.

Same here.

The year the Super Bowl was in Minneapolis the first time (1992), I loved the winter feel outside.

Not so much in Detroit (XVI), when some fans didn't get into the arena until well into the second quarter because VP Bush went (this was less than one year after the assassination attempt on Reagan), and the security was next world crazy

I keep forgetting Detroit has a Dome.

But quite honestly I think unless there is a clear rotation then Dallas should be the permanent setting for a national championship. Just think about it, California and Florida have got 4 of the 1st rounds of bids and they are long distances for the teams that got them. Dallas and Houston are more centrally located. I just get the feeling that going forward we are going to get a lot of Raymond James and LA mixed with Miami as sites like the Super Bowl is. If the idea is to have parity then put a restriction on the site of the game in the bid cycle where the same place can’t win back to back bid cycles. But if you want geography then Dallas should be it.

But Lucas Oil Stadium and Reliant’s turns are the ones I hope we get to the national championships in.

Get in price for tickets on stubhub (with fees) are now going for under $1,000, after topping out on Tuesday at about $1,500. I wonder if they are going to settle there with a bit more certainty that the game is going to happen on Monday.

I'd be there in person, even if the game WASN'T going to be played. Love Miami anytime, but middle of the dead cold winter, it's like Heaven.

Notice I said "like" Heaven. It's got a bit too much sin in it to fully qualify. I love it.

Last week, I didn't even check prices for the semi-final game here. I just decided it's not a time to venture out when I can watch on TV.

I had the incredible opportunity to see the Tide win back to back NCs in NOLA and Miami. The experience is incredible and I'd highly recommend it....that said...I'd rather do it under "normal" circumstances with a full stadium and the ability to high five total strangers sitting all around me.
