Does anyone know anything about this kid from Oneonta and his future prospects? I've heard bits and pieces about him for the last three years. Is it just that he is only 5'6", or are there other reasons why this kid is not being pursued by any colleges? I think last year and this year he shared rushing carries with a teammate, or otherwise he would have had monster rushing numbers.

I don't know why he isn't being recruited I saw him play last season and he can play football and there's no doubt I wouldn't like to see him in on Kick off returns and punt returns, Miguel maybe small but he is muscular and fast, and he probably benches about 300+ looking at the size of his arms and who knows what his verticle leap is but I've seen him hurdle DB's with out any problem!!!!

**Also for those of you who've never heard of him he is hispanic and plays for Oneonta High School in Blount County, Alabama

Sorry about the lack of info, but I don't know alot myself. What I got off the internet is that he has over 5,000 yards rushing in his career at Oneonta, but only around 1,000 this his senior year (almost 9 yards a carry). He is 5'6", 200, he and another Oneonta back both ran more than 1,000 yards last year, and it looks like that will happen this year too, so he must not be the teams premier back. I think he's a finalist for 3A player of the year honors, but I'm not certain. Oneonta is in the 3A championship game this year. I've just always thought it strange that this guy has received so little attention for the numbers he's put up. He's had a lot of 200+ games. If CMS could check him out, we might have a quality sleeper on our hands.

It's funny this thread should start, I just saw him play last night against TR Miller. He doesn't have much speed but he runs like a bowling ball. He crunches defenders, even when he's going down. He's 5'6" and 230. He's not major college material but he's fun to watch. I've never seen anybody punish defenders the way he does. If you get a chance to watch the 3A finals on TV please do so. The game is next Thursday at 3pm.

bamabound and I have some ties to one of Oneonta's in county rivals. I would say he is fun to watch run, but is probably not a major D1 prospect. A mid-major could take a shot at him.

The only D1 schools that I could see being interested in him would be Air Force or Navy. He would make a geat option fullback. Otherwise, it will be division 1AA or Division 2.

Is this a joke

I just can not see a D1 program offering this kid! I mean no offense but come on guy's he is a D2 prospect at best!

You're slipping BB, you didn't give a "cuteness" rating.
