With the upcoming season fast approaching -- I thought I'd share my Bama room with fellow TideFans. It's been a long process, as I started with a tan room - followed it up with four coats of red paint, a White stripe all the way around the room (three coats) and finally two coats on the ceiling... Now, In the process of hanging all my photos/memorabilia up and it's coming along nicely (although slow).

When y'all ask who collects stuff like photographs/autographs and why --- this answers that ? ... when I'm watching my Bama games in my Bama room - I think of all the great plays/players and then I think about meeting them and what it was like.
Anyway, hope you guys/girls enjoy and Roll Tide!!

Why couldn't you wait until the week of the first game to show us this? Now we want Alabama football even more and we still have to wait 19 days!!!

Just kidding. The room look awesome and I hope to one day have something similar because my fiance quickly turned my bachelor pad into a home. My Daniel Moore's went from my living room walls to on the floor in an office room. My leather elephants went from a prominent place in the living room to a guest bedroom. I need a man room...but can't get one till I find a bigger house.

Thanks for all the compliments, guys and girls -- it's definitely a labor of love...
Anyway, there is so much stuff in the room I decided i'd pick out a few of the individual pieces and tell y'all a little bit about them..... these are some of my favorites!!!

The first picture is an original 8x10 of "The Kick" ... not some re-printed deal, here.. folks.... an actual photo of the game-winning kick that the Birmingham News used for the newspaper --- you can even see the green crop marks they used to crop the photo!! I think this is priceless....

The next photo is a mini-Heisman Trophy replica that even has the Mark Ingram nameplate. This thing is a tiny plastic piece of heaven - I thought it was super cool....

The next piece is a "13" replica helmet (national championship) with all the starters from the national championship team. I've got all the sigs since Feb --- I'm still missing McElroy, Julio, Mark Ingram, P.J. Fitzgerald, T. Cody, Lorenzo Washington and Brandon Deaderick... So, I've got 17 of the 24 offensive, defensive and special teams starters. And, I've also got Coach Saban on there, too... Also notice the case -- it's awesome :)

The next picture is confetti that shot out of the cannons after the game at the Rose Bowl!! It's not much, but a memento from the game that I'll always have - an addition to the game program and tickets :)

Next photo is an 8x10 autographed from Bart Starr in his Packers uniform. Going old school here, but it's pretty sweet to have an autographed photo from an NFL HOF'er who was the MVP of Super Bowl's I and II. Also, he put my nickname instead of my name on the photo!!!

Next photo is really sentimental to me because it's a picture I took of Derrick Thomas in 1990 -- he had a football camp at Samford University and I went to the camp and met Derrick along with many other NFL'ers. This is perhaps one of my most valuable pieces (to me) because without me having met him then.. I probably wouldn't care much about autographs/memorabilia... RIP D.T.!! Below D.T's photo is one of me and Shaun Alexander. NFL MVP and one of the best ball carriers in Bama history.. He played while I was a student there - hence one of my favorites and how I came up with my screename --- 37bamagreats55

The final photo is a ProSet rookie card signed my D.T at that football camp.. Again, if there was a fire and my house was buring and I could grab one thing from that room --- that would be one of the first things to get...

Great setup. I used to have a Bama room. Now the wife has painted it a sea blue/green color and its the guest room. All my stuff got packed up except a few things out in my "office/ dining room".

One day I'll have a Bama room again.

And I also kept confetti from the BCSCG. lol And I have a DT autograph that I feel the same way about.

WOW!! You have your very own Bama museum! Your collection of memorabilia is fantastic! I especially love the Derrick Thomas pieces as well. He played during my years at Bama so he holds a special place in my heart, too!

My son (age 7) wants a Bama room and I hope to start on it soon. His collection will start with the 2009 season but by the time he is my age, I hope he has a room just like yours that is full of Bama's great accomplishments of the 21st century (maybe some old things, too)! Excellent job! :BigA:

My 7 year old son finally has his bedroom Alabama colors and bed with Houndstooth accessories. He is now wanting to get his walls started with paintings. I am happy to help him because "Mama" is an Auburn grad! She is a good sport though and even helped me paint it.

Great photos love the room. What's with the half and half Tide and Bengals helmet?

Well, lol, I thought Andre Smith was going to do huge things in the NFL --- so, I thought it'd be a nice piece to have. However, to this point, the big fella has been a bit of a dissapointment -- I'm not giving up on him. If he can get his conditioning/discipline under control, he'll be one of the best.

What you can't see with that helmet is the #71 on the Crimson part --- I'm sure that would've given it away...

Nice collection....I'm extremely jealous!!

BTW, that half and half helmet is pretty sweet. Where'd you find something like that?
