Did anyone see the town hall meeting on ESPN last night? Brand brought up the fact that a booster was about to get around 15 years in prison. I don't know if those were his exact words, but you get the point. My question is have they already sentenced LY? If not, how does Brand know that LY is going to get 15 years and is it proper to comment on a sentence that hasn't even been passed yet? BTW, he didn't mention LY by name but it was obvious who he was referring too.

The ncaa and tennessee were the heart and soul of the trial in Memphis.
The ncaa and the judges have probably decided on a sentence together.

O.J. walks and L.Y. is convicted in a kangaroo court.........a good example of justice gone awry in America. I'm not saying LY is innocent but compare the charges and the evidence in the two trials!!!!!!!! :frown:

I'm sure that was Brand's guess based on the charges; I doubt he will get that much time. Why would it be improper for Brand to comment on that? Brand has no relationship that I know of with the Department of Justice or the Office of the U.S. Attorney. Brand can comment on this case just like any other private citizen. I said many times Martha Stewart was going to jail and I'll say right now Michael Jackson is probably going to jail, is that improper? It may be obvious to Alabama fans who Brand was referring to, but I doubt it is to the rest of the country.

First of all, their is a pending appeal as well in this case and

from what has been reported, the judge made enough mistakes in this case to almost cause an appeals court to hammer the guy. I don't see that happening, but frankly I also don't see LY getting anymore than 5 years at a Country Club and that is ONLY if their appeal fails.
