Who are the most likely starters at WR for us next season? We seem to have a lot of depth but almost nobody with starter experience. I feel like we are stacked or decent at the other offensive positions. Stacked at QB with Young, Milroe and Simpson. Decent at running back (should be fine once everyone is healthy) Who emerges as the top RB? I feel that spot has a lot of competition ahead. Decent at TE, just need a compliment for Latu. Decent at O-line, we have a lot of younger guys that are 4 and 5 start recruits, just need some coaching to get them on the same page. Was O-line coaching part of our issues this season? Anyone in the Portal that could be an upgrade over what we have either on offense or defense?

We got 3 or 4 guys just like him, no thanks
The only receiver Bama has right now that has spent more than one season in college is Traeshon Holden going into year 3.

Burton has almost 1,000 yards in two years being underutilized at UGA and with a big year could be a 2nd round pick in next years draft.

for those leaving early to the NFL . . . wasn't the unwritten rule of thumb you have to be a first or second rounder to go out as a junior? I just don't see it happening for some of these guys.

as far as those leaving via the portal, while some are motivated by playing time, some seem motivated by spite . . . both by the coach recruiting them and the player. wonder if the NCAA will rethink this in the next year.
If you're not a first or second round projection Saban advises players to return. But there's no "have to" to it. Just sabans advise.

Likely combinqtion of
brooks hall Holden and jojo.

Big competition there coming this spring.

If hall can get more consistent with his hands he will be great. I love Holden and hate that he didn't get more involved this year when meychie went out.

Also keep an eye on leary.

And any of the incoming freshmen have a shot at cracking the 2 deep. I think shazz and Anderson are the most ready to play quickly.

JoJo doesn’t look like the next Jalen Waddle. He played hesitantly. Not an Alpha

I’m guessing it’s Hall, Brooks, Holden. With some speedy frosh backing them up.
That would be my guess. I still think Hall could turn into something special but we shall see.

Yep now we say that Freshmen need time to develop. Then we look at what DeVonta and Waddle were capable of as freshmen and are given cause to wonder if there is a DeVonta, Waddle or Juedy in this group. I don't feel that positive about it.

You need at least one Alpha. Preferably 2 at WR
Not necessarily. You can win with a group of equals and lose with a group of alphas. Yeah it’s preferable to have a dominant receiver and a utility guy but it’s by far not a defining feature amongst national championship teams.

Agreed you don't necessarily have to but when you have an alpha throwing to an alpha it is pretty much unstoppable. Mac and Devonta/Waddle showed that last year and we have an alpha at QB. An alpha WR or two will come out of the current group and the incoming freshmen.
