Everyone's thoughts on Bowl Game now

What is everyone's opinion on our bowl destination now? With Florida losing, we can finish no worse than the fourth best team in the SEC. If Georgia plays LSU in the SEC championship, that more than likely will be your BCS and Citrus bowl reps. I dont see the SEC getting two BCS bids, honestly they don't deserve two.

If things go as expected with Georgia and LSU, it looks like the Auburn Bama game will be for the Outback and Cotten bowl, in my opinion.

By your estimations is as follows.

Outback

Alabama Vs Michigan

Cotton

Alabama Vs Oklahoma or Texastech

==========================================

Interesting to say the least. Always love the michigan matchup. Oklahoma would be a cool rematch. Or Texas Tech would be interesting because of Mike Riley (is'nt he a Bama grad!!)

I think we're playing for a BCS bowl against Auburn on Saturday. That's still alot to play for. Either way, we're guaranteed to get our best bowl bid of the century, and it's going to include a good match-up.

LOL - Whoever thinks that the Ducks will go as the second at large bid over Bama at 10 - 1 doesn't understand how the Bowl Committeees think. That is laughable...

I'm assuming the date of January the 2nd is just a typo, and all the usual New Year's Day Bowl games ARE played on New Year's Day. :biggrin:

if you woulda told me we'd be playing in the Capital One Bowl back in August, I would've been ecstatic. Still, let's beat the Barn and hope for higher. :biggrin:

I'm hearing that with a win over AU to go to 10-1, we'll likely wind up in the Fiesta vs. Notre Dame. LSU would be bound to the Sugar vs. South Florida (assuming they win out).

That's a great matchup, by the way. Both teams travel very well. They have a great offense and we have a great defense.

wow, LSU-South FL? How many tickets will that sell. LSU would beat them by 4 TDs at least. Bama-ND would probably be the second highest rated bowl game. However, the Fiesta does have strong ties with the Pac 10, and Oregon would still sell out since ND would be involved.

I agree

You know I half to agree on that even if we beat Auburn go 10-1 & not be in one those Mjaor BCS bowls. You never know anything can happen. Example what if Miss beat LSU? Oh,my!
