"The north end-zone of Bryant-Denny Stadium is shown painted red with white lettering Tuesday afternoon. The University of Alabama is experimenting with different field designs during this spring with no final decision made on how the Bryant-Denny Stadium turf will look in the fall."

It's on the front page of the sports section in today's Tuscaloosa News, with a picture. I'm gonna go out and see it for myself this afternoon.

What do y'all think?

I think the big block "ALABAMA" font used in the endzones is too "80's".

I'm glad they are looking at updating that style to have a little more style.

Don't get me wrong, it still brings joy to my heart to see the endzones at BDS no matter how they're painted, but I like the idea of a little modification here and there.

JUST DON'T TOUCH THE UNIFORMS!!

Nike's slogan where Alabama's uniforms are concerned should be "Just Don't Do It".

Did I just turn this into a uniform thread?

Is the photo of the endzone available online? I tried looking for it at the Tuscaloosa News website, but couldn't find it.

I, too, would be in favor of a new design. It just needs to be consistent with a singular theme that should be present in all football-related logos and designs. IMO, we've had too many different "looks" and should settle on one for awhile.

I agree with the posts above. The lettering in the endzone is is very 80's...

wow..that's REALLY nice. That'd be a geat change I think. I can just imagine how great that will look with a REALLY green (if we can ever accomplish such a feat at this university)and newly lined field.

Being in Orange Hell, it made my heart good to see BDS again. (August can't come quick enough)

However, would love to see Crimson Tide in cursive in one end zone as has already been suggested and Alabama at the other but I don't like that block style
