My dad and I were watching that game on an old Zenith b&w TV. We were grating cheddar for the dozen or so cheese balls my mom distributed to their friends at Christmastime.

When it happened, we both “almost” dumped a couple hours’ work on the shag carpet. At least, that’s what we told my mother.

I don’t think anybody noticed a little orlon in their cheese ball. ;)

Saw him at a restaurant in Mobile back in 1993-1994. I believe during Sr Bowl week. Two hunnies at his table. Laughing like a King.

RIP Franco! Never have liked the Steelers, being a Cowboy fan, but always respected their players, if their had been instant replay back then it probably would have been overturned, that one play started a miraculous run for Pittsburgh

I was watching that game, and was pulling for Snake. He had a big play in that game too. He outran Pittsburgh's Defense around the end. Mean Joe Greene said after the game.." I didn't realize that the man was that fast".
Stabler ran 30 yards for a touchdown with 1:17 left in the game

Doubt it would be overturned. You’d need indisputable evidence Fuqua touched the ball and that Tatum didn’t.

A week later the Steelers lost to the undefeated Dolphins in the AFC championship game.

Yep. He ran the ball around the right end....looked like the same play as against Auburn in that monsoon at Legion Field in '67😃

That is one thing I loved about the pro's during the '70s was the personalities on the different teams. Mean Joe Green, to tall Jones, or the snake. To many to name but was a lot of fun even if you didn't like the teams they were on.
