NFL Offensive Lineman - Article from cbssports - Chance Warmack included

Still not sure what broken deals you're worried about, unless you're president of the Warmack fan club? For a bunch of players, who sounded like they were just sitting around, chewing the fat, you seem to be looking for a whole lot of motive?

Not really sure how it's hard to understand what B1G means. Chance's comments indicate Bostad has never coached an OL before when that's not the truth. By being that wrong, Chance's comments have very little credibility.

I guess I see it from the other side, being a former offensive lineman. I had a coach one time who HAD played line in school, had been coaching the position for over 10 years, and still didn't grasp concepts in blocking in all honesty.

Like all of them said, you can "teach" whatever you want, and try to be "right" but in between the whistles is a different world. So we would do film study by ourselves to see what we really needed to do.

So I'm not discounting anything he says, because I understand where he's coming from.

Yeah, but this coach had no problem coaching many offensive lines before he got to this one. So he was clearly able to teach until he got here.

The fact that he called him out publicly (not by name, but anyone with an internet connection and 30 seconds or so can figure out who he's talking about) makes it sound like a personal issue. If so, it would have been better to handle it differently, imo.

Yep. Looks personal, and Chance looks petty for it while also being wrong about it.

I read an article where Chance Warmack spoke out against the offensive line coach of the Titans (now fired) for the past 2 seasons. Chance said that he was a Division 3 linebacker. That coach is now coaching tight ends at another Division 3 school. You wonder how some of these guys get head coaching/general manager jobs and then make so many flippant decisions. Kind of mind boggling..

I'm not saying that he's right or wrong, but publicly criticizing your position coach is not a good look for Warmack.

Obviously Chance did not like his position coach personally and did not like the way he coached. He did not call him out by name and I think all employees who have a boss they did not like leave the company or get fired they bash them. Very, very common thing to say and do and nothing to see here IMO.

So, you would hire a person who has done this to their previous employer? Most would not. And if it is common, that does not make it right or smart. Actions have consequences.

If I understand correctly, Chance is still with the Titans and the coach was fired or let go. Chance does not have a previous employer. I think it is common for employees still working for the company to stand around the water cooler and make comments about their ex-boss who was not liked by some. Ex: "I'm glad they fired Joe Blow since productivity was down and moral was low. He did not know what he was doing and we needed a better boss". I may be wrong but this is what I have witnessed or heard many times.

The 5th year of his contract was declined. He is still with the Titans, but that may be more because of his guaranteed contract than anything else.

That's what I saw someone say. He'll most likely be resigned just for less money.

I hope so. This mistake doesn't make him a bad person. I wish him well, and Henry needs a road grader like him.
