I doubt Tennessee scores 20 against us.
Unfortunately, a lot of big predictions were made leading up to the aTm game, and most completely whiffed. My prediction had us winning by 30+ points. If Golding and the defense aren't on their game, and BY doesn't play, UT is going to take out 15 years of frustration on us.

Yeah, right now my confidence is at about 5%

If it happens, it happens...I will still eat dinner and go to sleep next Saturday. There are more years than I want to count where I could not say that...

I'm going to toss out a couple of concepts here. I don't make predictions about football games. Period. But here are some things to consider.

1. Could it be that the team looked past TAMU? They were 3-2 going into the game yesterday, with one of their losses coming from Appalachian State, of all things. It seems to me that "rat poison" might easily cause the players to not take them seriously. These guys are young. It happens.

2. I believe Bryce will play. Saban kept him out yesterday as a precaution, thinking that we have much stiffer competition coming up where he'll be needed. As for what percentage he's healed, we just don't know.

3. Remember less than a year ago when hardly anyone on this planet gave us a chance to beat Georgia in the SECCG? Well, guess what? Other teams also suffer from rat poison, and I can tell you firsthand that the Vols are more than capable of getting too cocky. Frankly, I hope the entire media keeps telling them that they're invincible all week, then we go in there and own them.

Here's something else I've noticed. Our receivers seem to have a harder time holding on to passes from Milroe than from Young. It's believed to be a psychological thing. I remember a few years ago when Saban put Tua in for the second half against Georgia for the NC, and we wound up winning. Someone said that the players "responded" better to Tua, even though they all liked and respected Jalen.

It's about confidence. A receiver needs to believe that his QB can get the ball where it needs to be. If he lacks confidence in his QB, then it doesn't necessarily matter if that QB drops it right in his lap.

I don't think Bryce is the key to beating the viles. He's a very important cog, but the key imo is a good game plan. The garbage I saw last night reeked of a man who didn't do his job for whatever reason.
I like it. Only problem is who ya gonna get to create that game plan cause he sure ain't in Tuscaloosa.

Yes, but watch the Pittsburgh and Florida games and they don’t look as impressive as they seem.
And the thing in those games was getting pressure on Hooker. The difference in Tennessee’s offense this year is that Hooker isn’t making the big mistakes and turning it over.
That is where things need to change for us on defense. We need to pressure Hooker and create mistakes.
Defensively, UT really isn’t that much better than last year. The offense has taken some of the pressure off.

Their passing defense is bad. Only Vandy is worse. We need a QB that can pass, alot.

Good news--We have seen the running game step up with Bryce out--when he returns with his high performance passing-- the Bama offense will be in peak performance. It will be a thing of beauty.
Good point. And even if, for some reason, we have to go with Milroe again, our running game can set them up for the passes that Milroe can make.

Four turnovers and two missed FGs will do that to a prediction. I said 34-13 and we were well on track for that but for those six events. And it’s not that you just get to erase those, it’s just that kind of thing is so rare.

I won’t concede the game even if Milroe is the starter. But a different plan will be needed if he is.

But ... we can lose this game and win completely out with a Natty. So, what I'm trying to say is ... who cares? We control our own destiny. Not many teams can say that. And the ones who can, I am confident, we can find a way to beat. Seriously though, Bryce will be back very soon. Big win tonight. I enjoyed it. We'll be fine. Roll Tide!!!
I care.

Dude, come on. They are gonna score some points.
20 is a reasonable number. They only scored 27 in regulation against that stingy Pitt defense that gave up 31, 29 and 26 to WVU, VT and GT. Fifteenesee scored 38 on Florida, but Florida has given up 4 touchdowns in 4 of its games this year. LSU was shell shocked, they fumbled the opening kickoff. Things have bounced Tennessee’s way in many games this year.

I don’t understand this attitude. I really don’t. Even if Milroe starts, i believe we have a decent chance of winning. The A& M game has to give him confidence. When Florida’s Anthony Richardson started running the ball, It killed Tennessee. Yeah, what Jalen does best is a weakness for the Vile defense. I’m not saying it will be a repeat, but it will open throwing lanes for easier passes.
