I don’t watch the NFL much. How is San Francisco’s defense doing?
I’m a life long hardcore 49er fan. Demeco isn’t coming here. He‘ll be an NFL head coach by February. He was a finalist for the Minnesota job last year but he took his name out of consideration so he could spend more time getting ready to become a head coach (last season was his first as a coordinator)

Question: We've seen CNS light up Gol*ing a few times on the sidelines the past couple of years.

Has he lit into BOB like that? Could it be a factor that BOB is closer to his age?

I'd kinda like to see OLD CNS has a younger OC that he could light up a few times a game when they do something stupid. But BOB is in the box drinking diet coke with his hat turned backward like he's out on a Sunday drive. Don't get it.
A&M game he did. After a near disastrous pass attempt at the goal line, he yelled very clearly into the headset to run the expletive ball

BoB is completely out of touch with college play calling. Backward hat and diet coke and all....he has no feel. I dont care how wonderful of a coach someone like Herbstreit thinks he is....hes a bad college OC....hes a bad OC in general, ask the Texans.

We need someone younger, that relates to the kids, adjusts on the fly....basically, for lack of a better term, someone that can read the room. Who that may be, I'm sure Saban has a list.

I know people wax poetic about how prolific we were with Lane calling plays but for me, the ideal play caller is Sark. Almost every play he called was something setting you up for something else later in the game. Whether the play was successful or not, Im gonna give you the same look later and gash you for 40 yards. And he did this all while making sure that his play makers got an optimal amount of touches.

Just typing all that and thinking of the stark contrast that we have here now has upset me

That’s great. He was one of my favorite players when he was here and I’m glad he is doing good. I remember reading that he was coaching but I didn’t know how he was doing.

It is coaching and discipline. The amount of penalties and dropped balls shows that the players are severely lacking discipline and that is a reflection on coaching.
the way Brooks tried to catch the ball !!!! and he is our best WR ... we would have won the game yesterday with DJ Hall

I’m hopeful for aome changes in coordinator seats. Seems obvious. But, I cannot get the nagging observation out of my head: people are not executing. They are not where the QB expects them to be on offense, and they are beaten by the other teams WR’s too often. So, I’m talking both sides of the ball: lack of execution.

Yep, and honestly I would rather him (for his personal benefit) stay in the NFL and get a HC gig rather than make a downward move to college as a DC. He deserves to be a HC in the NFL.

He has earned that next step at the NFL level, but I would still love to see him walking the sidelines at Alabama. Just not sure that he wants to be there. He was not a part of the Saban dynasty and has his own career trajectory

I don't see anyone hiring O'Brien or Gol*ing away from us. Despite what herbie keeps trying to make people believe no one is going to steal them away. They will have to be fired to be gone, so speculating who the next guy is almost seems pointless. Having said that I would want Pruitt back for DC, I do not care what the SEC says (that seems like an overreach to say who you can and cannot hire). As far as OC? Literally anyone listed above would be better.

Mark Helfrich? It won’t be him of course, but I’d like to see us run the Chip Kelly offense.

Dirk Kötter?
