All the talk of Watson (who was admittedly very good) aside, Coker actually finished with the better qb rating (203 to 160). Coker stunk it up in 1st half but was simply great in 2nd half. When safeties and CBs are consistently making tackles at line of scrimmage someone is open. Once Kiffin & Coker realized this the game changed.

With Coker's 1st half struggles and Henry's success and the score tied at half, this all led to the Clemson doubling down on stopping Henry in the 2nd half. This gave opportunities for big plays due to match-ups and Clemson having to make or try to make tackles in space.

Wow. No voice. Been soaking in the post game stuff. Just incredible season. A dream season. This team dug deep, together. Proud of drake getting the td. Proud of OJ having monster game. Will enjoy this a long time.

And yet 85 total points. Definitely crazy.
Most points scored since the BCS era began ... didnt think being in a scoring match with them would bode well for us. I'm happy for this team and ecstatic for Drake and OJ to be able to play pivotal roles in the win.

I'm sitting on a bus in the stadium parking lot.

What a game! All respect to Clemson. They did something I didn't think they could do...They beat us in the trenches, most especially their DL and LBs against our OL.

Our much-maligned (by me, too) special teams were the difference.

Hats off to Bobby Williams and to Clemson. I'm getting too old for games like this.

So we can win a shoot out. Haha. Which we did against the barn last year, but I still like the games when the defense plays lights out.

This NC was for coach Saban imo. It makes next season's reload very relaxing.
I think so too. Getting this NC can help everyone relax for a couple of years.

If I'd been told the final score would be 45-40 I wouldn't feel good about it. Yet we came out on top. So proud.

Listening to the post-game you'd think Clemson had won the game. Alabama won. Nod to the loser and their failing effort and now move on to talk about the Champions.
Yeah for real. They were a good team. But when the clock hit 00:00 they got outplayed and out coached and lost. Alabama is national champions. Not co-moral victory national champions.
