Just read Earle's comments in the game thread about how the offense shut it down so that the defense could get more reps against a quality opponent. Very valuable experience, and CNS is just a mastermind to approach the game that way.

Bring on the Gamecocks - Upshaw will eat Garcia for lunch.

The second-half offense was not bad, it's just that Florida kept going for it on 4th down inside the red zone, leaving us backed up down there. Plus, with the pick-6, the O did not get much playing time. With the defense playing so sick in the second half, there was not much left for the offense to do.

Good game guys...my team just isnt where you are right now. Im proud of my young team for not quitting and fighting in a hostile environment. They got it in scoring position 6 times, but came away empty. The future is bright for the Gators, but the here and now definately belongs to bama.

You have a terrific team, and I really dont think anyone has the horses to run with you this year. Enjoy the ride bama fans, it should be a good one.
Good game and thanks for the props.

And Herbie said today he wasn't sure if we'd make it back to Atl!
In fairness to Herbie, he has been high on the AU bandwagon this year, so that is why he thinks we wouldn't make it to ATL. After today's games, AU definitely looks like our best remaining opponent.

Wow. Herbie just said that it doesn't look like anybody can slow us down in the west or the east. He even made fun kinda of his pick of Auburn. He also said something about Bama fans making reservations in Glendale.

I couldnt help but think during the game that our lack of offense in the second half was by design. Still plenty of football left to be played, but with two out of our three early hurdles cleared, I am liking what I see. I think last weeks game was a turning point for our defense.

I agree completely. Our defense is really stepping up and making some plays. I think that the future is very bright for our defense. How about Courtney Upshaw? Glad to see him back full speed. He's a beast!

The here and now looks very bright, but the future isn't looking all that dull either. We are poised for one of the greatest runs in college football, just hoping the team stays grounded and plays hard all the time.

Very impressive win tonight!! Our D was championship special and our O did what was needed to get the job done. If we play that way the rest of our games, we could be unstoppable. I know it's been a much debated topic, but the only disadvantage I see we are up against is all the teams that have their bye weeks prior to their game with us. We get them when they are most rested. That's OK, though, since we're battle tested for that as well.
