Some of you saying KDB is on the hot seat are insane. This guy inherited a horrible team culture that Saban allowed to flourish. Give him a few seasons to get his guys in and change that and we’ll be fine.
What has DeBoer done about the culture, it hasn’t changed? All I’ve heard all year is that he’s a players coach which never seems to work long term in the SEC.

If he really wanted to “deal” with the culture then one of the first things he should have done was told Milroe and his LANK mafia to hit the portal. He didn’t and we’ve wasted a second season under their control.

Look, it would be one thing if Bama had lost 3 competitive games to UGA, Tenn and LSU. Losing to 2 6-5 teams with sub .500 conference records is pathetic. Shows a lack of ability to coach up a team which is why I now believe DeBoer’s tenure will be short lived. Remember there were other games where this team looked under prepared but ultimately won the games. They stunk against USF until the final 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. USC was not a pretty game as well.

Wommack has to go the second the clock hits :00 after the bowl game. He can’t cut it in the SEC. I think he’s confused because our OC always goes away from things that are working so he thinks that’s what other teams will do and refuses to adjust. I mean, how many times do you need to see Arnold run all over us before you decide you might want to try and stop him. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is stupidity and that is our DC.

Here is the thing…. If you believe that then blame Saban for this whole fiasco. I had a major staffer straight up say at a REC meeting that both Milroe and Simpson were told that they had the staff’s blessing to transfer at the end of spring last year and that they were all trying to convince TCU to take Milroe. They clearly never had any faith behind Milroe and were disappointed Simpson never won the job or looked confident in practice.

I get the impression that Simpson has and never will be a guy that Deboer considers. I have this opinion as a couch coach but it does seem odd that Simpson has never gotten any meaningful reps or any signs that he will when Milroe has been stinking up the field. It just screams that Deboer just wants this “9th grade mean girl drama” to be over with and start with a guy with a fresh start.
I don't want you to think I'm in any way saying "You're wrong".

I know you have closer contact to the situation than the average fan and I have heard from others what you are saying about the situation in 2023.

But I have also heard from a few people that Ty has worked very hard and has improved greatly and looked "Spectacular" and "Unstoppable" in Summer and Fall Camps.

He's very talented and imo deserves a fair shot at the job.

CNS is at fault for allowing the whole mess to begin and fester and I agree with you about that part.

But CKD also is to blame for not ending the whole mess when he's had multiple chances to make a change.

Milroe should have been benched in the Tenn game, he should have been benched before and during the Mizzou game and he should have been benched vs OU.

The sad thing is we don’t even need “spectacular” or “unstoppable” at the QB position. We literally just need “Jake Coker”. If Ty is not as good as Coker, I’ll eat my hat.

The loss was surprising but in the end I figured this team was 9-3 type team. Deboer will get it it figured out with some of the guys that fit his system better. We have a bunch of slow big lineman that struggle holding the edges and also getting down the field on short passes and screens. This offense is built on speed on the outside with quick passes and screens to wide receivers with lineman getting out fast to get blocks down the field. The running game the same way with pulling lineman and working the outside edges. Proctor has been better and quicker this year but tonight showed he still has issues on speed rushers especially when they know you have to throw. Pritchet is a guard having to play tackle imo. Then As Herbie said where are the down the field wide receivers that can stretch the field. Willams can and Bernard is solid slot guy but other then that they don’t have much. We have lost s many of these guys the last few years and haven’t replaced them. Holdon at Oregon, Anderson at LSU, Brooks at Louisville, Earle and Hall gone. Milroe hasn’t really improved as a passer but the receivers are not at the caliber we have had either.

This may be a crazy question, but is it possible that it is in Milroe's LANK/NIL deal that he is the starter and can only lose his job for conduct detrimental to the team, or injury? I have seen similar language in other NIL deals.

im just preparing you for the excuses and “well buts” that the Milroe fans are going to be telling every Alabama fan from here on out. I’m sure we will hear about another injury and how Sheridan never ran an offense suited for him before it’s over too.
Ahh, I thought you were still defending him. I get it now.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I seriously doubt that.
Any program with that kind of language in an NIL contract deserves everything coming their way.
