I agree here! They knew it was wrongMake em sit. Tattoos aren't cheap and they knew what they were doing. If you are only going to make people pay it back when they get caught, what is the incentive not to do it and try and get away with it?
Yeah... I appreciate where you're coming from. Maybe even agree... The tattoo situation is akin to the fishing trip IMO. We sat our guys until they paid (charity?) their share of the cost of the trip, AND the NCAA gave the go-ahead for the players to get back on the field. I don't recall whether our guys missed any games.Make em sit. Tattoos aren't cheap and they knew what they were doing. You're exactly right. If all they have to do is pay it back if they get caught, nothing is going to stop them for doing it again.Make em sit. Tattoos aren't cheap and they knew what they were doing. If you are only going to make people pay it back when they get caught, what is the incentive not to do it and try and get away with it?
I agree, this is too frivolous an infraction, let em play and let Arky win. Don't want to give them any excuses. Actually I think what happened was that them pig callers found some guys that had a lot of experience tattooing pigs ears and they snuck them into Ohio and set them up on street corners giving free tattooes to football players. This is nuts. Assuming free tattoos were received, just have the athletes pay for 'em or do some community service. I want Arky to win... but not by sitting the OSU starters.
If they can't pay for the tattoo, punishment should be to give 'em another tattoo.
Evidently according to NCAA's version or interpretation of Scamgate, all they have to do is say they didn't know they were free. We know the NCAA will not go back to whenever they were tattooed and make them forfeit all the games forward of that time. Probably not enough evidence at this time to dole out any penalties. So that's the new rule? No extra benefits...unless it's only a few hundred dollars? Now, is that per infraction? A hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars there, is fine as long as it's not a lot of money all at once? Or is it fine if it's just goods and services rather than cash?
No, he just said put a smile on my arm.Does anybody know if Terrell Pryor's father asked for the tattoos?
Apparently, Preyer's father asked for the tattoos from a different parlor. But there's no indication that he asked for tattoos from the fambily-run parlor that ended up getting the merchandise. And in any case, Terrell never knew about his father's having requested tats from the first parlor to begin with. Terrell is an awesome guy and would never accept tats. I think this is all just sour grapes from the first parlor anyway because they never got the merchandise. That, and the Red Elephant Club.Does anybody know if Terrell Pryor's father asked for the tattoos?
Yeah, a tattoo of a Razorback Hog..............:biggrin:This is nuts. Assuming free tattoos were received, just have the athletes pay for 'em or do some community service. I want Arky to win... but not by sitting the OSU starters.
