Kind of makes you wonder about Ohio State's ability to develop QB talent. Although I realize you can't overcome some things. But Pryor hasn't looked much different than he did his freshman season - at least to me.Greg Cosell who's been the Sr. Producer for NFL Films for over 3 decades, (he's on Twitter and if you're an NFL fan and not following him, you're doing yourself a disservice..This guy drops gems daily) did a breakdown of Pryor for breaking down some game film.
In short, he reiterates what we all already know. Pryor is not an NFL QB. But if you want details, here's what he had to say.
He starts out by making it clear that his analysis is based solely on tape and has nothing to do with character, intangibles, etc. as he's not had a chance to meet Pryor.
- Pryor again fuels debate regarding NFL QB attributes. Being great athlete in the traditional sense (speed, running) does not translate to QB skills.
- Watched 2 Pryor games today. A number of things stood out. [OSU's] passing game principles were basic. It had predominant 1 read concepts from under center.
- Pryor often pushed the ball, and didn't drive through throws. He had a tendency to lift his back foot off the ground before delivering the ball. Reduces arm strength.
- Poor footwork as he sets & plants to deliver. I have little sense at this point of how the drop of QB syncs up with receivers routes.
- He's not naturally accurate. Scattershot. Over-reactive to perceived pressure. No precision to game. A random, unstructured player.
- Overall he has a long way to go before any chance of being NFL QB. In 2 games I evaluated, he showed no attributes that transition to the NFL.
- I will watch more tomorrow, including the bowl game. I really struggled to find traits that project to an NFL QB. Average arm + inaccurate

Didn't Herbie call OSU out for that a year or two ago?Kind of makes you wonder about Ohio State's ability to develop QB talent. Although I realize you can't overcome some things. But Pryor hasn't looked much different than he did his freshman season - at least to me.
Great work! Not surprised TP left early. Didn't think he would sit for 5 games. I agree with most here, he will regret this move IMO. He could have made more $ by staying at Ohio State. While we're on the topic, here is LSUFreek's latest work of art.

Scouts told us Terrelle Pryor's pre-season NFL draft grade, based off his 2010 game film, equated to a 6th/7th round selection.
His apology seemed force, didn't it? I think Rosenhaus told him to do it.Thought for the day: Any apology where you don't say specifically say what you're sorry for doing isn't really an apology.
Pryor's got some serious growing up to do.
A classic twist of fate...How ironic, his eligibility will make him ineligible.
