He's coming to Bama for his visit, but seriously, don't get your hopes up on this guy. Everything I'm hearing has him going to AU. I'd love to be wrong about this one.

his statements do not sound good

"When I took my visit to this school I just felt right at home," Whitehead said. "I knew it then, but I had to be clear on a few more things."
Just a thought, but maybe these kids are purposely trying to throw people off with these kinds of remarks

There are also some reports going around that Whitehead plans on visiting Auburn with his Mother on Sunday after his Alabama official visit. I don't know if those are just rumors started by Aubies or if it is true. I haven't seen anything substantial on it. I guess we will all know if that is the case by Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Peanut is really looking like a Barner to me.
I agree that it looks like AU has a strong lead at this point... but there are a couple of things that are in our favor. One, it seems like Mom is convinced Bama is the place for Peanut (doesn't seem to even give AU a chance). Second, in the past, it is well documented that he is an emotional young man... speaking in glowing terms about a visited school right after getting back. Two things in our favor, hope that they will be enough to turn his head... regardless, it's got to be killing Tubs that he'll be in T-town this weekend.

I agree... I think our only chance with Whitehead is his own wishy-washiness. I think he plans to commit to Auburn right now, but, has shown over & over to change with the weather. If he gets swept up in things at Bama and if his mom pushes him that way, anything could still happen.

But, I think our chances are like 10%.

It is also in our favor that the "dead period" begins on Monday which is also to our advantage with someone who may be "decision-challenged".

I had a 10 minute conversation with Forrest Davis today and he said that by Peanut taking an official visit to Alabama that all bets are off as to what he will do. He was somewhat settled on Auburn, but by the Alabama coaches being able to convince him to visit could be an interesting scenario. He wasn't saying that he will come to Bama, but he said that it was very interesting since he had pretty much decided not to come until just recently.

The coaches have done a great job once we've gotten kids on campus and this may not be any different. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

If he decides to go to Auburn, we will never hear of him again until probably his Senior year as they are so deep at DE and DT it's unreal. If he gets playing time it won't be much. Bama on the other hand needs him and he could play all he wants. What is the problem here?????? Come to Bama and play early or go to the Barn and ride the pine....it's that simple...

Don't know if he is worth having if he doesn't listen to his Mama.

The barn has a better d than the jets???? Common now, lets not get carried away. I don't think the Badgers could have dominated the Jets like they did the Barn.
