Read the instructions, and clean often. They probably are the best grills for the average joe imo, but they can be a pain in the butt if you dont take care of them.
I love mine. I have a Traeger . The only issue that I have is that it doesn't get hot enough to sear a steak. My wife hates that. I have started doing a "reverse" sear. I put it on the smoker to lock in the flavor and then put it on a regular grill to sear.
