Thought this was worthwhile and didn't see a thread where it really fit.
Peter Zeihan is a fascinating guy, and brilliant. I don't always come to the same conclusions as he does because he often underestimates the ability of people and countries to adapt. So he also often expects his predictions to happen too soon. Still, he's usually eventually right. Even when not, he always has data-based logic and makes me think.
Zeihan's fundamental premise across a lot of areas is rooted in demographics. Bottom Line: The US has a problem, but it's fixable with a sane immigration policy (I know, I know....but that's a topic for another thread). However, for Germany, most of Eastern Europe, Russia, and most especially China, it passed existential some time ago and is now inevitable.
Martin's podcast with Zeihan drops tomorrow morning at6AM (Correction -- 10AM) Central. It might take an hour or so of your time, but I promise it'll be worth the effort. Looks like it's going to be a full examination of his thoughts on China and on the US abandoning its role as global protector.
I checked and it's free on YouTube. Be aware, though, that Zeihan is bad to drop some non-TF words. If that offends you, you might want to skip it anyway.
