Re: Petrino to Arky? (Espn Confirmed)

Anyone heard that Muschamp was considered, but pulled out when he was told he would have to hire certain assistants. I heard Malzahn was one of them. That was the rumor on sportsradio this afternoon.

Re: Petrino to Arky? (Espn Confirmed)

Shall we get back to the coach who quit his team mid-season after telling his owner and (at least some) media he was staying?? :biggrin2:

The Falcon players are saying that he told them after the game last night to never quit and that he would see them at practice on Wednesday.

Now this doesn't offend me at all as football is a business and that is the way this business works. (Though lying to the owner isn't cool.) I'm just hoping that he will replace Saban as the media's favorite coach to bash.

Yeah, that bullseye on Saban's back should be on Petrino's. At least Saban finished the season.

If Croom gets that gig, I will personally walk down University BLVD with a sign that signs "I am stupid" and tape it for youtube. That being said, I am graduating on Saturday, and moving on Sunday, so they have to do it fast for the bet to count :)

LOL. The names being thrown out now are Bill Cowher, Marty Shottenheimer, Ray Rhodes and Mike Martz. Some want Jim Foxx if he is forced out at Carolina and some are mentioning Mike Singletary.

I wouldn't mind Gruden if he leaves Tampa. He and Atlanta's GM work well together.
I think that Denny Green will get a look.

From the sound of things he better get out of town quick! The Falcons players are ready to skin his rear and i dont blame them. Lets hope the media will too.
