Phillip Shanks attacked and found unconscious

If I remember correctly, I think Shanks has said in an interview that his home or office had already been broken into once and a person came to his house and threatened him.

This was several months or possibly even more than a year ago. I thought I heard it in an interview with Finebaum.

I have also been in favor of suspending the series between UA v UT for this very reason. I have been afraid some very unfortunate incident would happen because of this. I don't think this is the last incident we will see either.

Mike Slive should see the emotions surrounding this case and see more incidents like this are very likely to occur. We should replace the UT game with UF or UGA.

From tennstud.....
"If anyone accuses me of having anything to do with this crime, I will sue!!"
Geez, that convinces me. OK Roy, I'll be the first to say it.... I believe you did have something to do with it. I'm just sitting here holding my breath until your lawyers arrive at my doorstep.

This is a serious breach of the law and in light of the circumstances the TBI should bring their full weight to bear on the case.</font>

CB-He'll be much better off with MPD looking into the case. TBI wouldn't have any jurisdiction, and they are perpetually underfunded and understaffed. Can this whole deal get any stranger though?

Hopefully, there was so kind of surveillance system in place that will assist in catching the creep(s).

Shanks happens to be my attorney for personal matters. I've been in his office several times and don't recall seeing any survellence cameras. Doesn't mean there aren't any, I just don't recall it.

But, boy, his office is a shrine to Bama. I love stopping by there even though I've seen all that stuff several times.

Also, his office is in a part of town where you wouldn't expect something like that to happen. Meaning that more than likely, this was NOT a random act.

I think they didn't care if there was a backup file, They wanted to see what they needed to defend against. "They", being either Tn., the nc2a, or the FBI. This will go in the annals as another unsolved case. Too bad, I would like to know who the perpetrator really was.

You are correct, sir. This is the third incident involving this case.

TiV, for all we know the FBI could be involved themselves. Maybe not the entire department in that area, but some may be involved.

Sounds to me like they want to use this as a scare tactic. I know the quicker the authorities find out who is responsible...the roof might get blown off.

CrimsonBlitz, it's sad to see that a man that has faced that type of injury would be subject to that type of abuse. I think it's time that some true law officials got involved in this before someone gets killed.

The deeper this gets, the more spookier it gets. It's pretty safe to say that Paul Finebaum will be really busy next week.
