Sounds like this attorney (who is an athiest) wants this heard by the Supreme Court. I can't blame him for that. Let the Supreme Court decide...

This from a city that imbraces the fact that Homosexuality is ok, a modern day Soddom. God will show then all in His own due time. Until then....................

San Francisco is the best example of why I don't believe Katrina was an example of God's wrath as stated by a few confused preachers. Compared to San Francisco, Vegas, and Hollywood, I would think New Orleans is pretty far down God's list. I would anticipate hellfire raining down as opposed to a hurricane and flood. ;)

People are fighting over this just because they can. No matter what the pledge says, it will not make a dime's worth of difference in the real world. This is not something that changes anybody's life. It's a petty fight over window dressing. I always luv how everyone gets in a twist over irrelevant stupid stuff. I could not care less how this comes out.

I agree with Nate. Whether or not the words "under God" appear in the Pledge of Allegiance is not on my top 200 list of vital issues requiring leadership from the government. I'll salute the flag proudly, either way.

If you ask me, the usual suspects want to create a distraction while they try and do something more important that you won't like, behind your back.

If saying "one nation under God" violates a childs right to be free, wouldn't saying the pledge to the U.S. flag also violate their right to be free? After all, they would be 'in bondage' to our constitution and laws.

Homosexuality is only one form of perversion and only one form of sin. I know you were joking but hellfire might be next. God will not be mocked.

New Pledge?

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Hyphenated States of America,
and to the special interest run government,
for which it stands,
one nation,
under greed, perversion, and laziness,
for which values it no longer stands,
clearly divisible,
with liberty and justice for illegal aliens but not the citizens.

The best jokes are based on an element of truth. ;) And I agree. God will not be mocked.

I pledge allegiance to the corporate interests and boardrooms of our hallowed oligarchy, and to this junta, for which it stands, one corporation, indivisible, with greed, avarice, pollution, waste, inequality and fiscal irresponsibility for all.

Yee-haa!!!
