Just watched the post game press conference on CT and it is apparent Coach is upset. He did not like the intensity, effort and execution. There were a few moments when he got testy with the questioning. I got the impression that we will probably see a different team next week relative to attitude and effort. I am glad Coach is here and will continue to help us improve as a team. He was blunt and to the point as to what the problems were on the field and you can bet they will be corrected. He also took the blame for what we saw last night. I would hate to have to practice this week.

He didn't like the performance last week either and look what we got last night. He can crack heads all he wants, but apparently the offense just doesn't get it, and that's putting it mildly.

Yep.

But, I have a feeling some changes in offense could be on hand. I don't see this coaching staff putting up with too much. His anger yesterday might mean strike two for some, with a thrid and final strike on the way if it continues to get worse.

I don't expect much difference next week, not because Coach Saban staff can't but because most of the players have been surrounded by a hum-ho, losers mentality for the past four years. Changing culture and in grained habits don't change in one week. We might be in for a long season but over time Saban will change this place.

Was it just me?? or did anybody else think a lot of that was directed at coaches? Just a feeling you understand.

CNS has shown the willingness to make changes (at cornerback last week) due to poor performance on the field. Let's hope this holds true for the offense this week.

I haven't seen it, but I'd hope that some of it was. Amid all the JPW bashing, of which I'm on board, there's PLENTY of blame to spread around: playcalling, blocking at the line, blocking in the backfield, decision making, reading defenses, checking down............the list goes on and the coaches should not be held out of owning up to their responsibilities.

i think Coach can handle a loss if that loss takes place while we are playing as hard as we can....slobber-knocking hits, full-speed effort at all times, etc. i think it drives him nuts to lose like we did last night. there's no doubt in my mind that he will not accept lackluster play. against georgia we played with more intensity than last night. some heads will roll this week.
a team finds its character when it's down. we will see a much better effort next saturday.

I wondered how practice would be last week and the players got an extra day off. Don't think much will go easy this week.

I, too, would not be surprised to see on the field some less "talented" players who are willing to go really hard replacing guys who are not giving the same level of effort despite their physical gifts.

BTW, for some reason I see much more of this malaise on offense than defense. Is that residual positive effect from Coach Kines, perhaps? In other words, those guys were more used to playing hard?

I haven't seen the press conference yet but I would have to believe he was upset if he saw what we saw. I was not as upset over the GA loss because at least we showed effort for most of that game. This game yesterday, not much effort, at least on one side of the ball. Like some have said some of the blame has to go on coaches as well. I'm confident Coach Saban will get it worked out, but its going to take some time guys. I'm willing to give him that.

I don't believe the players will be getting 2 days off this week and Coach Saban won't be handing out ice cream cones. When Saban said some changes might be made after evaluation I will take him at his word. At LSU he sat players for lack of intensity or production if for no other reason than to prove they had to work harder to remain a starter.

I have absolutely no doubt our players are on the verge of unleashing *The Saban* that has made his *reputation* world renown. I've mentioned before that Kyle Williams' (former LSU player under Saban) in laws live up the road from me. Some of the stories I've heard from what Kyle told them are quite *impressive*.

Also, I posted last night that I talked to an LSU friend of mine that called to see how I was after the game. In that same conversation he said that those players were about to get a rude awakening and he mentioned several names of our players that he thought would get the wrath of Saban. Though I won't mention them here. But he said Saban doesn't not put up with it long before heads begin to roll.

Good. I think thats exactly what this team needs. The whole team.

Maybe that's why he burned some "redshirts" in anticipation.

It's time for some "heads to roll"; and while I haven't seen the pc I would hope that the coaching staff is held responsible also. The former staff never was and it was part (a large part) of the problem with the team then - and probably the residue of that is part of the present difficulties.

I had much rather see less "talented" players on the field if they are playing with focus and intensity than what I saw last night.

this team in spite of the losses, is right where saban wants them. it was easy after the ga loss {day off} and the team sorta took the bait. now after the second loss coach is going to go a different route. id like to be at practice this week. this team wont or cant motivate themselves {i.e. take ownership and responsibility} to play a big game. they are going to learn what motivation looks like this week im afraid. saban has learned more about this team in two weeks than he has learned since spring practice. one thing we as fans are learning is that unlike last yr one thing is for sure the problem isnt the head coach. "process"

heads dont nessesarily need to roll, some just need to have the fear of nick put in them. i figure after this weeks practice there will be some more to get religion {i.e. coffee},which isnt a bad thing.

What I thought, also.

One thing about CNS is, he has a plan. I, too, think he's more focused on the long-range affects..........his "process".

just to clear it up for some. Coffee is set to be or already has been baptized into a church. TDBama was not suggesting that Coffee needed to be Sabanized.
