My husband and I have both been members of Tidefans for a while now, and I've always felt that there are more people on here that I can find common ground with than anywhere else. That's why I wanted to post this on here.

My husband was killed in a work related incident on the 18th of August, leaving behind our 6 year old son, our 3 year old daughter, and myself, along with the rest of his very large family. He was only 30, and represented the definition of the term "die-hard Bama fan". He was a good man, and loved his family more than anything.

I would just like to ask for prayers for him to find peace, and for my children and I to find our way without him, which at this point seems impossible.

((((hugs)))) I am so sorry for your loss.

I will pray not only for him, but for you and your family. I know it seems absolutely insurmountable right now and very few words can offer any sort of comfort, but just dig deep, pray, take the best care of yourself and your babies that you can, and God will give you the strength you need.

For me to say that you are in my thoughts and prayers seems so inadequate. It is times like these that I wish I had the power to take the hurt away and ease your pain. May God bless you and your children and I pray God will comfort you during this terrible time.

Sabrina -- I am so very sorry. At a time like this, it's so difficult to find "comforting words". Please know that your family here at Tidefans is praying for all of you.

Just wanted to post a picture of him. This is us at the Ole Miss game last year.

I am so sorry that your husband has to sleep in death, for now. You have lost your loving husband in death, for now, and the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness did seem unbearable, right on August 18th and certainly, at such times, you need to go to God’s Word for comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) The Bible helps us to understand how God and Jesus feel about death. Jesus, who perfectly reflected his Father, knew the pain of losing someone in death. (John 14:9

You asked the Tide Community to pray for your Husband and your family of your 6 year old son, and your 3 year old daughter, and your-self, along with the rest of your husband's very large family. You also wrote that he was only 30 years of age. Additionally, you also stated that he represented the definition of the term "die-hard Bama fan".

Lastly, you stated that your dear husband was a good man, and loved his family more than anything, and thereby wanted to ask for prayers for him to find peace, and for my children and me to find our way without him, which at this point seems impossible. When I read those words, you wrote, I thought, what loving expressions. It reminded me of what the Apostle Paul said about 'true love'. He said that nothing can really separate lovers of truth from each other, not even death (Romans 8:35-39). So through Christ, that connection of true love, is still alive, waiting for a day of Resurrection (John 5:28), through Christ, to connect you to your husband, once again. How so?

In the Bible, our Lord promised that we will be with our dead loved ones, again, right here on the earth, under God's Kingdom reign, coming soon (Revelation 21:4) with its blessing benefit not only those of us alive now, but our dead loved ones, also, re-uniting us together again. You can belief this with all your heart, because Jesus' Father promised it and, the Bible teaches us that, it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18) I would love to share more about this wonderful promise of bringing us together with our dead loved ones through their being resurrected to a earthly life. I believe that there is nothing more that would be so wonderful then, for you and your loving children to Welcome back you Husband from his sleeping in death (Ecclesiastes 9:5) and John 11:11.. In my next letter, I look forward to sharing with you, how the Bible truly promises this wonderful future reality! Until then!

Wayne
