No way the guy could be ready for the rigors of the season after months and months of cruthches, muscle atrophy, etc. If he doesn't redshirt, we are asking for trouble. At least we will have 1 year of Brown, DJ, Nikita and Pro all together at full speed, with any luck.
While I really feel for Pro, it may be more a case of hoping that he can recover fully to lead a normal life, much less a football career. This isn't just my opinion but one of two orthopedists who I know. While neither knows the details of his specific case both have seen similar cases before.
At the best case, he plays but is constantly dogged by this injury and it will affect his stock in the NFL draft, virtually eliminating him from long-term play at a post-graduate level.
Let's stop focusing on when he will or won't play football but rather how he is progressing in getting a good education at UA so that he can move forward after football.
