Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition and why?
A: “The rolling of Toomer’s corner because I had never experienced something so amazing in my life. When I came to Auburn I saw all of these people huddled around this tree and I was like, ‘What is this?’ You have all of these people and they have all of this toilet paper. They have soft toilet paper and every kind of toilet paper and they are all throwing it at a tree. I was like ‘Why are they throwing all of this toilet paper at a tree?,’ and they told me that they were rolling Toomer’s corner. I asked who is going to clean all of this mess up and they told me that the wind would blow it all away or the rain would wash it down. They said sometimes they have people come clean it up and I said that I wouldn’t want to have to clean up all of this toilet paper.”
Pathetic. I don't think any further comment from me is necessary.

Who did that interview, a 14-year old girl? Those are the stupidest, most pointless questions I've ever heard. His answers pale in comparison to the sheer idiocy of the interviewer.

Stupidest. Questions. Ever.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.

Was this interview conducted at a slumber party? On a note passed back and forth in study hall?

Wow!

I would love to get a look at old Kenny's ACT/SAT scores. This guy is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Hilarious. Hope the post interview bake sale was successful over at Auburn Elementary.

At least football gives this young man a chance at an education, & a chance to better his life. Unfortunately, you wonder if he will be able to take advantage of it.

what about it? sounds like [m]any other 18 year-old kid to me.
Sorry, but I didnt sound like that when I was 18. His most prized possession is candy bars?? Tre Smith is brilliant because he wants to put a leaper in front of the goalposts? He plays right water for the water polo team? Is this guy in college or 2nd grade?

If Aubies are "amazed" by soft toilet paper, wait until they discover TP that has flower patterns, is scented, or (my personal favorite) the two-ply. Yes, there's a lot to be amazed by on the Plains.

It's always been my thought that they roll their tree to prove they've advanced from corn cobs.

While it's a small step for man, it's a giant leap for the boog's. My biggest wish is that they all endear themselves to this principal. My office is one down from one who has not quite caught the concept. While he's great for comic relief, it does'nt take long to get his "drift".

maybe i should have qualified that by saying "[m]any other 18 year old college football players." i've taught at least of few of these kids in my life, and quite a few ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. one of them played at our beloved capstone and was a pretty darn good player who shall remain nameless.

in fact, i spoke with his mother before a game one year and she told me "let's face it, ______ is not the brightest kid in the world. i tried to get him to go to a smaller school where he'd have less pressure from football and more time to work on his schooling, but his lifelong dream has been to play for the tide!" he was a super-nice young man and i enjoyed having him in class. but i can pretty much guarantee that an interview with him would have produced similarly sophmoric answers.

so this kid's a not-too-bright player at one of many national college football factories. big deal. there are so many of them these days that it would be almost impossible to keep track of them all.

FYI...someone always has to clean it up. On Sunday they have a facilities guy on a T-rex (the movable platform) with a hose connected into the fire hydrant spraying all that mess down. The wind would blow it all away, pfft.
