Okay, so I didn't really see this posted anywhere, so if it has been...sorry. :)
Anyway, does anyone know when Tide Pride opens up any spaces? I'm asking this for myself, but more for my father in law. I have been on the waiting list for only a couple years, but he has been on for four I think. I'm guessing they wait until all the tickets are spoken for before they take any new comers, but any idea how many they will let in this year? I know I don't have a chance, but I'm hoping my father in law does. I really want to go to the Penn State game, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks!

If you've not received notification by now that you got in, my guess is that you didn't. It is late in the ticket allocation process, in fact, it was probably finished in late May or early June. Tickets will be mailed out in just over a month.

There have been instances where people on the waiting list were offered tickets to games where perhaps the visitors sent back a block of tickets. Granted, the Penn State game would not fall into this scenario.

Hang in there, and good luck.

You might still get in. They have notified thousands so far, but there are still many openings. I got the lucky call today offering me to pick between two different sections (n7 or U4-QQ). The nice lady said that she still had hundreds of people to call. Do not lose hope, your father in law might just get tickets this year. Oh yeah, I registered for Tide Pride in December 2006. Good luck & rtr!

By the way, if YOU wanted to purchase tickets this year there is a way to move up on the list. A $25,000 donation will get you lower level seats, and a $5,000 donation will get you upper level seats. They will allow you to pay monthly payments until you have paid it all. It's quite a chunk but if you plan on wanting tickets for many years, it might be worth it.

Kind of kicking myself in the butt for the donation I put in before beginning of last year cause I couldn't wait much longer after I got on Tide Pride waiting list back in November 2006. Now, I'm noticing it that people that got on the waiting list around the same time I did are finally getting the call to join Tide Pride. All I had to do back in June '09 since I was being impatient and tired of buying tickets on Ebay, was to donate $2,500 and before I know it they put me in East Upper, on the 40 yd line and 10 rows up.

Did you donate any money during your time on the waiting list. I got on the list back in the spring of 2006 and I have noticed a lot of people getting their tix this year and they got on the list after I did. I really thought that this would be the year and I'm just not understanding how I'm getting jumped by so many people.

Congratulations on the tix though. rtr

I didn't donate any money while I was on the list. The reason that people are jumping you is because they're donating the major bucks. You can read my post above to show how much you can donate if you really want tickets this year. We got on the list right before Saban was hired, and after he was hired the waiting list got WAY longer. Not sure how far you are down the line though. Try calling Tide Pride, if you get ahold of the right person they will tell you where you are on the list.

Playball 31580, I think you still made a good choice by paying the donation and joining last year. If you wouldn't have you would've been at the very top of the list and you would've gotten offered with the first bunch. They would have been in U4 AA, BB, or PP, which are all on the ends of the upper deck. I was lucky enough to be farther down the list so I got lower level. You definitely wouldn't have gotten tickets on the 40 yard line without donating.

You should have gotten tickets, you might want to call and check to make sure you are still on the list. They offered at least 1,500 people based on time on the list alone, not counting any donations. I got on the list in December 1, 2006 and was in the second round of invites. It seems donating doesn't actually move you anywhere on the list, it can just let you skip the list entirely and get an immediate invite for the right price.

I like to think I made a good choice with the donation. Before I got offered with the seats in U4-GG, they gave me other options, but they were all up in East Upper mostly in the ends of the upper deck. I miss sitting in the lower level which I was used to in the past, but I can see the game much better up above and really see the plays develop. The people at Tide Pride were very nice in accomodating my needs, as it would help to built a good rapport with them like I did with a few of them.

Sounds like I got on the list right around when you got on the list as I put myself on the waiting list 2 days after that Iron Bowl loss which ended up being Shula's last game before he got fired. I heard that the minimum donation in these days is $5,000 for a pair in the East Upper, whereas I only had to pay $2,500 for a pair in East Upper in June '09. I think it is around $7500-$10000 for a pair in the West Upper.

Thanks for all the info. I wish I could have joined years ago, but only in the last few years have I been able to actually afford season tickets AND have the time to go to games. I may try the donation route, but at least you guys have given me some hope. BTW rolltide14, is the $5000 donation for the upper level per seat (I'm guessing it is) or would they let me buy two seats? $25,000 is a little rich for my blood now, but maybe down the road. I'll have to run that one by the wife though first. :)

It is $2500 a pair for east upper deck. That was ealier in the year. I dont think they have went up. 25k would get you a pair of zone or scholarhip seats.
