You left "Be The Ball" off the list.

My coaches use to tell me that.

But I honestly don't remember which sport it was, that I was supposed to Be The Ball.

Did some work today with a younger fellow who has worked with me as a helper for a few years.

He still struggles with life here and there, so ultimately we have conversation.

I told him I'll probably go to my grave still wondering how to navigate through everyday challenges.

Told him no matter what....never let anyone knock you off YOUR moral compass. Listen to YOUR heart always......and let it be the guide on how to conduct yourself....regardless of what the other person does.

I also added....let this always be the legacy of how you were raised by your parents.

We're working together again on Friday........

In a perfect world - we moderate ourselves in a controlled fashion - getting some needed rest in between battles.

But sometimes mother nature steps in and forces us to "take" a rest.

I prefer the first option.....

Me, too. But I am far too stubborn. I usually only take breaks when I am too injured to keep moving.

But I have learned to moderate my routine. Mostly because my age has forced it upon me.

I wonder if all this hard work will actually shorten my life. I burn half as many calories in a week exercising as most people's base metabolism. I won't stop because it is a part of my identity, but sometimes it feels counterproductive.
